>Ahsoka and the Glup Shittos
Yes okay whatever, a handful of random jedi spread across the entire galaxy somehow make Yoda a liar. Ahsoka is the only valid example and we know why.

>Cal Kestis
The entire premise of the character's arch is his constant running from death by Inquisitor.

>Quinlan Vos
Unsurprising that the guy who was a wilderness expert and was once seduced by the dark side was able to survive in hiding.

> Ezra
Being friends with a dead padawan does not a Jedi make.

>C'Baoth
Are you seriously scrounging for examples from one of the most beloved pieces of extended canon? C'Baoth clone was on ice in a tuna can because the empire was going to use him. They're not going to kill useful assets.

Assuming anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000 Jedi, even if Order 66 had a 99% success rate that still leaves hundreds of survivors. Admittedly it is starting to get a bit comical just how many of there are. I like to imagine Palpatine just reading down the ever-growing list and going to Vader "Did you even kill *anybody* that night?"

People were shorter on average back then though so what constituted a manlet was different.
>>
>>747564606
IIRC Archduke Charles of Austria was also really short. And then there's Napoleon himself. It truly was the Golden Age of Manlets.
>>
>>747564606
Wasn't he pro slave trade though?
>>
>>747564678
The average height was still around 5'7" or so, a man who was 5'4" still would have been considered pretty short. Also I'm not a historian or biologist but I'm pretty sure the low average height was the result of the lower classes being malnourished. So among Nelson's peers (the wealthy, the aristocracy, etc.) he definitely would have seemed extremely short.
>>
>>747564741
NTA but assumign that's true, it still wouldn't have been a super controversial position in his time. I believe Britain only formally banned the slave trade in the early 1800s, so for essentially Nelson's whole life he would have been supporting something that was perfectly legal.

He really managed to die at the best time possible as far as his legacy is concerned, on top of the perfect drama of being struck down at the moment of his greatest triumph he managed to dodge all the messy politics of the 1830s that other politically conservative war heroes like Wellington got mixed up in and tarnished their reputation from the point of view of people today looking backwards.

My headcanon is while Tognath have a poor sense of touch and don't really have sex for pleasure, they're extremely sensitive internally if you can stimulate them deeply enough, which tends to take them off guard when they have sex with other races like humans and find it intensely pleasurable
Also the Force enhances sex but we all know that already

>>747564685
Pretty sure Napoleon was average or just slightly under average, and the idea of him being a a full on manlet is a leftover from propaganda

>And Runa!
>And... Nobody else on the team, they just have Den dialogue afterwards like usual
>And this is after the mission where you get trapped by Fathom and only Runa has anything to say about you showing up in time for the evacuation
I really like this game but sometimes the cheapness really stings
Like I know the studio ran out of money but it hurts knowing they'll probably never go back and polish these things
They even did take the time to account for which characters are alive or dead in other places so it's not like they weren't thinking about it either
Why'd they have to kill Star Wars so hard in this timeline
>>
>>747567510
You can't even necessarily say they are Jedi. In new Canon, Yoda was probably able to sense Ahsoka and we know he made contact with Ezra+Kanan. But Ahsoka was not a Jedi anymore, Kanan was never a knight, Ezra wasn't even a real padawan, and C'Baoth was a deranged clone who was functionally dead until awakened. Vos was never particularly strong in the Force and was always depicted as something of an outlier in the Order even before turning to the dark side to stick his saber in Ventress's pussy, so it's easy to imagine Yoda couldn't sense him.
Yoda is likely referring to Jedi not just as those trained in the Force, but those carrying the beliefs and culture of the old Jedi Order. As a religious or cultural institution, Yoda and Luke are the last. Luke had two legitimate Jedi Council members as his masters. Any remaining practitioners were independent worshippers without structure. Just as we can say the Sith were defeated even though Mara Jade lived past RotJ, because she was not a designated Sith.
I'm not immersed enough to know the finer details of characters like Kestis or Katarn, as I already hate that I know this much. Star Wars is fucking stupid.
>>
>>747562208
And none of them would've been able to do the duty of a Jedi, which would be to stop the Sith and restore balance. Only Luke or Leia could've done that.
>>
Mmhmm and where were these other jedi during the battle of yavin? The battle of endor?
>>
>>747569943
>Vos was never particularly strong in the Force
He was, though. He was a Jedi Master with a seat on the Council, and he was picked along with Ventress to try and assassinate Count Dooku (Dark Disciple novel). They would not have sent someone who wasn't strong in the Force to assassinate a Sith Lord, and one of the top 5 lightsaber duelists in the galaxy.

>>
>>747570347
I read it but didn't remember him being an actual master. Anyway, I think he still can get a pass to Yoda because he was specifically chosen for that mission because he was considered "unconventional", generally better at physical combat, and considered a sacrifice who might have to do something approaching the dark side. He was functionally almost grey at the end of the novel and I could see how the dark side history helped hide him from both Yoda and the rest of the Empire.
>>
>>747566435
>So you think humans grew on average 4-5 inches over two hundred years anon?
Actually yes. North Koreans are a couple inches shorter than South Koreans on average, despite being the exact same group genetically. That's what a mere 70 years of one side being relatively well-fed and the other half being chronically malnourished does.

>>747562208
To be fair it would be incredibly easy to have Tel become disillusioned with the idea of the Jedi Order actually surviving the Empire and go from being an out-and-out Jedi to a more morally grey mercenary do-gooder with a lightsaber. Her deceased master even explicitly says that she was making very poor progress as a padawan and was far too reliant on the acceptance and praise of others, and when the Coil killed her master she immediately went rogue and embarked on a year-long solo quest to take down the Coil that was clearly motivated in no small part by a desire for vengeance against those who killed the one person who ever gave her a chance.

She looks like a squeaky clean goody two shoes by the standards of Zero Company's collection of killers for hire, but by actual Jedi standards she's a pretty lousy Jedi.

Sorry, I interpreted your post as being more about the former than the latter, and more about the Jedi being good for her even if she's not good for the Jedi, rather than the Jedi being good in general
She does express an interest in tracking down Jedi who might've also been deceived into Inquisitorial ambushes so I don't know if she'd give up on the Order that much, especially after Hawks' big speech about believing in something
But I haven't finished the game yet so maybe I'm completely off the mark again

all the comic books and and the jedi knight games that were around when I was a kid never made it feel like this was ever not the case. Unless you're a turbo boomer who saw rotj in the cinemas on release, thus isn't even true,, so why the larp?
>>
>>747573720
>a turbo boomer who saw rotj in the cinemas
The very first EU work, Splinter of the Mind's Eye, released after Star Wars (before it was ever A New Hope) in case the franchise never got another film but was popular enough to keep milking. And in that book Luke stumbles over a woman using the Force who offers to help teach him.

So pretty much from the very start of Star Wars there has never been a time when Obi-Wan was the ONLY Jedi left in the galaxy.
>>
>>747573484
>But I haven't finished the game yet so maybe I'm completely off the mark again
No you're right, that is how Tel's story ends - she says that she wants to go track down other surviving Jedi, and Hawks basically tells her she's there's always a spot for her in Zero Company. I was looking at it from the point of view of Tel surviving to the time of the original films when Yoda does the whole "you are the last of the Jedi" thing that the OP talks about. The game ends one year into the Empire and a lot can happen in the two decades between then and the films.
>>
>>747574210
using the force doesn't automatically make you a jedi
>>
>>747562208
17 jedi left in the entire galaxy is not a lot
>>
There were about 10,000 Jedi in the Galaxy when order 66 happened. Assuming a 99% success rate, which btw, is drastically more successful than any actual genocide in human history, that still leaves about 100 Jedi alive. Since we've only seen like a few dozen canonical survivors, there's still room for plenty more without it being a statistical failure for Order 66
>>
>>747562518

This wouldnt be an issue if they stayed FAR away from each other, the issue with writing stories about Order 66 survivors is that Disney and Filoni keep bringing them together and make it seem like the galaxy is not this vast, distant place and is more like a few planets bundled together with 2 hour flights separating each other due to how often crossovers happen, so it makes you question what the point of Order 66 is since theres nearly as many Jedi in hidding as Jedi we have seen active in Coruscant in the movies and tv shows.

The Darth Maul thing becomes even funnier if you've ever seen the commentary for Episode 1 where George basically says, "We cut him in half and had him fall down a bottomless pit so that people knew for sure he was never coming back."
>>
>>747577994
There are 8 specialisations and you get to have two per character later on, so you could have fairly varied clone squads on missions that don't require other characters being there (though you could dress Hawks up as a clone), on top of talents, weapon types, gear, etc.,
The real issue is that clone recruits are unlocked 4/5ths into the game so you either wait for NG+ where they start unlocked or you settle for dressing up humans in clone armor (you do have better personality options that way at least)
With mods you could theoretically have Jetpack Troopers too, but it's still early days so stuff like that is still pretty rare/WIP
>>
>>747578434
hmm, mixed bag then, wish they'd ask players or what they actually wanted sooner in development.
