it's still boring
>>
Wow. They bloated the game even harder with more random crap? Too bad that the foundation is still as rotten and boring as it was on release. Why do redditors like you want people to pretend No Man's Sky is "fixed" when it's the same shallow, pointless "gameplay" people crapped on back when the game was new?

I'll admit, letting us approach stars like in Elite Dangerous even if it serves no purpose other than sightseeing and curiosity, is pretty cool
It also works in multi-star systems, you can approach each star independently
Overall they made space way more interesting in this update
Now though, they really need to make a big overhaul for planetary points of interest, more variety, bigger, give us actual dungeons like those spooky freighter in space, more varied enemies to fight, and better combat too
Lastly, they need to ape that boarding ships feature from Starfield
>>
>>747565176
Every single update adds another layer of random shallow garbage while the fundamentals remain unchanged. Combat is still shit and there's nothing to fight despite all those weapons and combat upgrades existing, and 3 planets in you've seen everything it has to offer.

>No Man's Sky fans when they land on a random planet that has a different color of soil and sky, different plant models and different quirk chungus aliens than before then they start shooting space rocks for space crystals then dig into the space soil to find some alien porno they can sell to buy fuel they need to reach more planets that have the same shit as before but with different colors

How is survival mode for this game? These kind of modes always intrigue me.

It's pretty harsh in the beginning, there's a 90% chance the planet you start on will kill your ass in under 1 minute with its weather conditions
You can even go a step further and play permadeath mode, basically survival mode settings, except you die for good

I’ve always seen this game as a 3D Starbound, and I’m all for it
I’m glad they are still supporting the fuck out of this game, and are not showing any signs of stopping anytime soon
And yeah, it’s a Minecraft in space, just like how Starbound was Terraria in space, get over it faggots

Every update this game gets, we get closer and closer to the perfect space game
This fact seems to anger all the seething fucktards whose boring ass boomer games (Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, Starfield) are utterly forgotten.
>>
>>747565176
do the space stations do anything?
>>
>>747565176
I have to admit they managed to turn that trainwreck on launch into a pretty good game.
I wish AAA studios ever bothered doing the same instead of instantly abandoning their failed games.

>>

i literally don't give a fuck, every time they reboot you expect me to start again despite spending TWO HUNDERED HOURS hauling cargo the SECOND time for now no reason whatsoever

release light no fire already.

and don't fucking tell me "you don't need to start again" when they remade the entire inventory system which fucked up my PERFECT build that took ages to get

He made all this free content for you to enjoy.

I probably will not play this game. But they got judged too harshly for something that is standard in the industry now. If they called it early access, it would be considered a successful EA game.
>>
>>747567390
Of course you wont because the core gameplay loop is boring

Riddle me this, how can this indie game have near-seamless atmosphere entry/exit, and Saarfield with bazillion microsoft dollars can't?
Not only that, but you can go from planet to planet seamlessly from day 1 without having to enter an overconvoluted cruise mode like they added in that Saarfield update
Not only that, but some No Man's Sky planets are actual ocean planets with miles deep oceans (Saarfield doesn't even let you dive underwater at all)
And no, engine isn't a fucking excuse.

You made space boring Todd
You should have made it stylised, cartoony and colorful like in No Man's Chad.
>>
>>747567551
>Saarfield doesn't even let you dive underwater at all
Wait what? But you could do it in Skyrim
What the fuck happened with Starflop exactly?
