Liberate your village and family from a torture dungeon ran by bloodthirsty vampire monstersThey hate you for it and ask you to leave??????????????????
>>747568608even heard of Hitler?
>>747568608https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDc-b8lJ0yA
>>747568608People dont just go "Thanks, I guess you are not like the other vampires".Even if you were the one who directly saved them, they see in you the people responsible for their suffering. Its not logical, its based on emotions. Its actually very realistic writing.
>>747568608One of the villages explains it pretty well. The masses have short memory. Sure Coen's a hero now, but eventually they'll forget his heroics and all that's left is the vampire in front of them that's an easy scapegoat for any bad shit that happens. Never mind that Lunka also needs help that you can't find in Vale Sangora.
>>747568608People are like that. Honestly why would Coen even want to stay, most of the villagers are annoying people and he was stuck with a shitty family not being able to follow his dreams. Him leaving is a win-win for everyone involved.
>>747568608I also got this ending and I am confused. You leave with Lunka and then after a slideshow of major choices it's present day. What happened to Lunka? Is the present day DLC or a sequel?
>>747568608There's another ending where you're told about a dirt path that leads directly into the castle that somehow nobody knows about(????), you just walk up it and kill Brencis, did they just give up with the story at the end?
>>747569626The present day thing is a teaser for the series, it's kind of where it's supposed to end up but there are meant to be games before that. The sequel will presumably continue with Coen working for the vampire council and trying to help Lunka.
>>747569783It's not that no one knows about it, it's that the priest who is officially Brencis' supporter has someone there who will let you in secretly.
>>747569626raped nonstop in bloodwalker island
>>747569783It's coolThe door is locked
>>747570008>The door is lockedAh yes, why I play video games, to not be able to deal with a locked door
>>747569783its ok when breath of the wild does it
I liked it a lot, will probably do a new playthrough now that I know how the time thing works, I kind of want to see how much of an optimal outcome you can get with as many characters kept alive as possible. I know the first time I fucked up and got a bunch of them killed.
>>747570138Pc chads has noclip cheats to deal that besides retarded time limits that are wasted in menial tasks like looting a chest or using skill points
>>747570201most optimal its killing brencis before he beat cohen and abduct the family
>>747570262The time limit is irrelevant, you can easily do everything after the prologue
>>747570323Sure but that's boring. Also I want to collect all the vampire souls.
>oh no Coen we might have survived Brencis but now that you leave we will have a hard time taking care of the familyNigga I have like 20000 denarii in my pocket
>>747570494Yeah I could give Yanna 400 for a dowry but I can't leave my coins and pile of gold I forgot to sell?
casual reminder that if you're a male and you're into vampires, you're probably a woman in a man's body.
>>747570672>t. knot loving furry
>>747570672filtered, vampires are cool
>>747568921>"Thanks, I guess you are not like the other vampires".I say this.
>>747568608The guy was just giving coen the truthnuke that the villagers would eventually grab pitchforks against coen because thats what inbred countryfolk do
>>747568608I know it's the same devs as Witcher 3 but this game is so copy paste I cannot believe it. Even the final fight with Brencis is the EXACT same Blood & Wine. Holy shit.
>>747569514>. Him leaving is a win-win for everyone involved.Did you even talk to his family in the epilogue
>>747570201Apart from Vicho(?) you have to actively try to get your allies killed. How did you manage this?
>>747573657The family are the only ones who would want him to stay because he's useful and who knows how long that would last if they started getting treated poorly because of him.
>Poison Ambrus>Drink his blood>Now I'm poisoned tooI don't know what I expected
This is the best Ubislop I have ever played since I played Far Cry 4 back on release
Just got the deal ending, is cool how much of the dialogue in the last section changes, and if you did the main companion quests to completion you get stuff for that too Overall I thought that was the intelligent thing to do because the negro vampire made it clear Brencis' days were numbered no matter what in his letter, but apparently it takes him many years to get rid of him when Coen can get it done in like 2 weeks Typical minorities
So, talking about her miscarriage really made this bitch horny as fuck, huh?
>>747568921>realistic not really, it is nihilistic and pretentious
>>747573775Volk can betray you and you have to kill him if you don't help him enough. Otherwise he goes on one last adventure and leaves his sword behind.
>>747575298Huh, I thought that was the only way it could end. I swear I helped him enough and brought the right item each time.
>>747575225Anon they're all hardcore traumatized from seeing half the people they know suffer and die brutally. They don't know if Coen can keep the monster under control or not, and he genuinely fails to manage it sometimes. Having him in your village is genuinely risky
>>747574708kekbut really just spend the night learning skills, it goes away by daytime
>>747568608He changed (whacked 150+ human beings) and his sister is a bloodsucker of the worst kind
>>747573775A lot of people can dieMert and RennaVolkIulian Farkas' brotherthat guy that's in a pillorythe guy that falls into a pit in the prologue
>>747576149Yeah, he kills the soldiers that try to bribe him and wanders off, leaving you a letter. I guess you have to stick up for your father giving away his treasure to get him to not rat you out.
>>747577663nta but I agreed with him that the dad shouldn't have given it away and he still left me the sword and didn't betray me, I did do every single chore for him though
>>747577981Maybe the other anon forgot to get the knife for Volk at night.
>>747573556its temu witcher, worse in literally every way and yes combat included
Im done with the game but i just wanted to say that i saw the latest patch notes and they fixed something related to Gameinput for controllersi hope that anon that had problems with that program had it fixedim rooting for you anon
>>747577981>>747578296I got the knife from the roof, boarded up his windows, killed the wolves and chopped wood. I'm not sure I ever did anything about the snares though. I also agreed that Coens father should have given us the money. Maybe I waited too long to go and see him?
>>747578843i did all chores and disagreed on the money, i told him that Pietr did what he had to do to find peace blablablahe didnt sell me and left me the sword and the letter
>>747568921the mc family sucks even her mom spoonfeeding shit vampire loli its the only family
Brencis really doesn't like Bakir
I decided to Parlay with Brencis and he mostly treated me like an equal, once the ghosts came we fought side by side, and he even chose a location that would keep us both safe for the meeting. I honestly admired him a bit in the end and decided to sell out Crake. Crake was non-trusting which I suppose fits his character, but also had be spend an entire day watching his father from a distance, then got mad when I asked him why. The other vampires, the young one made a lot of sense about things actually being better now for humans and when walking around some would even say so in their dialogue. I'm happy with my playthrough of being a vampire business man. I also hated Anca and I'm disappointed there's not a way for her to die.
I think him leaving is ok but whats weird is that he NEVER goes back ever again in his entire life to visit them
>>747579339i would never side with Brencis, like wtf is wrong with you anonbut the parley quest was overall nice i agree
>>747579351This makes little sense for some endings. If you deal with Brencis then your village is cut-off and no military or financial help is coming should something happen to you. You'd think Coen would check now and again that bandits haven't raped and killed everybody you love.
>>747579339I sold out the rebels and watched the ending first before reloading because I hated all of them and its not that bad but in the end it doesnt matter because someone else is going to take care of brencis, so much for player choice
>>747579339I ended up really liking Brencis and having Coen admit he was right about how turning him also let him be free. Wouldn't have sided with him because my Coen would never sell people out but they respected each other mostly, I invited him in and he actually apologized for having set up the Lunka thing. Great antagonist overall, I even felt bad when he agreed to not hurt the family anymore at the parley because I knew I was going to fight him anyway.
>>747579339>>747579808I honestly thought I could deal with Brencis then go back and fight him anyway, breaking our deal. Idk if I'm stupid to think that was an option.
>>747578424Wtf is temu? And no
>>747579808>choices matterBiggest meme in the history of vidya
>>747568608Why is every thread of yours started with a spoiler? If it's not a picture of something plot related, it's you just spelling out what happens. Why do that?
>>747579339>. I also hated Anca and I'm disappointed there's not a way for her to dieYou can just eat her lol
Really......
Do you have to be gay for him to talk him out of killing himself? He seemed like a bro and deserved the truth, but shit got gay real quick.
>>747579808I mean it does change what happens other than that, different people die and Brencis gets to rule longer instead of the plague immediately returning.
>>747580065Plagarism
>>747569815You just made that up. For all we know the next game will be modern day. Frankly, it should be. I don't want another Assassin's Creed game, where it never gave us a modern day game.
>>747580041or leave her to die in the ruins if you don't kill the monsters
>>747575051It really is grating that a Japanese game doing the same wouldn't be allowed to sell on console or possibly get blocked on Steam.
>>747570323That ending doesn't deal with the boyars.
>>747580146No just tell him not to do it because you'll help him by getting him blood from the blood transports (then actually keep doing that)
Life was literally better under Brencis' rule. Those who became addicted to blood or were killed were literally weak and needed to die. Survival of the fittest, especially back in 1200.
>>747570335No you can't. People saying that missed half the quests. It's impossible to do them all within 30 days. You missed quests if you think otherwise.
>Brencis is building an eternal dark sun so vampires don't have to hide during the day just like in other vampire media>Brencis is not so bad guys he and Skender are pretty much the same maybe Brencis is better
>>747570494>>747570610I'd be taking it with me as well. It's gonna be a hard journey and Coen will need loadsamoney for supplies and such.
>>747580380>Install 90 day timer mod>Live the dreamI will NOT be playing around your poor game design and time management system.
>>747580334His boyars keep killing people for the lulz or their own pet issues. Brencis himself is pretty ok but he's also working on that ritual that's likely going to backfire.
>>747580334>going to the crucifixion site and reading what the nobles there actually did to their peopleThey sure were some garbage people.
>>747579080Bakir says what we're all thinking.
>>747580380Depends what you mean by quests, I uncovered the entire map so I knew I wasn't missing anything and I managed to doabdolutely all the "real" quests including the faeries and special itemsthe minimum of boyar small quests to unlock their big quests and doing thoseabout a dozen places of interestlearning skills until I was out of points, around level 40I had ~7 days left only missed lairs, wisps, exorcisms, uriash glyphs, camps etc
This boss was majorly disappointing and the one I was most interested in. I did all the dialogue options I could and even still wasn't quite sure if she was being legitimate. Surely she would know better than anyone that's not her daughter? She almost seemed to hate being a vampire in that cutscene, but enjoyed it for the rest of the game?
>>747580802I must have missed something but why didn't she just turn the daughter into a vampire?
>>747580146I just let him think he's innocent for the whole game. More people got killed in the ending slides, but nameless NPCs dying offscreen is a nothingburger.
>>747580487At that level he can find a fortune in any random bandit camp.
>>747580869All vampires go to hell. She wants to save the soul of her daughter.
>>747580146Shit can't even get gay with him you're imagining it
>>747580520there is none anononce you are out of the prologue time is literally a non factor just there to put pressure on you unil somebody tells you its a psyop40 days would be enough to literally clear every single inane poi in the game, and i mean inane, absolutely nothing burger of poi that add nothing to the game but give you loot and xp that is beyond useless after some pointEnjoy your playthrough but holy fuck 90 days, holy shit
>>747580620>admits he does all the crazy shit because he's deathly terrified of being alone with his own thoughtswell at least he knows it and he's now stuck in coen's head having to confront this
>>747580802>Surely she would know better than anyone that's not her daughter?as long as she could keep her alive through frankesteining graft parts of girls on her there was time to find a way to fix her "mind" or whatever i guessit was a pretty undercooked plot but gave Xanthe a bit more of personality, also that she was ready to betray Brencis as long as you let her keep doing her shit, Ambrush and Bakir were a bit more simple
>>747580771There are quests which did not appear on the map for me. For example, I kept seeing people mention Father Florin and I had to look up a guide how to find the house under which he's doing sermons. Not a chance I'd have found it any other way.
>>747580959But then letting her die ensures her soul goes to heaven or whatever. Or if you said you're killing her anyway she could turn the girl then if it's better than letting her die and maybe if you invite her in she can find a solution in time. Or you could appeal to the vamp council to ask for help to save the girl. It's just annoying that you can't try anything else.
>>747580520once you find yourself at day 11 with ambrus and bakir dead you'll understand that the game is very generous with time
>>747581179There's a quest to go to the cathedral which then has Florin tell you to meet him at the house. The initial quest is on the map.
>>747581179I guess it depends on an specific dialog option?I remember talking to him after mass in svartrau and after the chat he mentioning to go talk with him at the building blablabla
>>747568608>They hate you for it and ask you to leaveeh.... that didn't happen in my playthrough. Did you become a slut that kept sucking too many people? I tried to not do that for most of the game. My family loves me by the end of the game. Then I went on a journey to cure Lunka.
>>747580520The limit is a joke you can easily do everything. The prologue is the only time you can miss things. I started the final mission early because all I had left was grinding for points and I was bored of that.
>>747581179just speak with him in the cathedral during the day, he gives you the position of the house
>>747581289It's the other villagers that very unsubtly hint that you should fuck off.
>>747580283>It really is grating that a Japanese game doing the same wouldn't be allowed to sell on console or possibly get blocked on Steam.Japanese make hentai games every day and lots of them end up on Steam.
>>747581269I'd been to the cathedral and under it for Mihai. I saw no such quest. Maybe because the first time I went to the cathedral I was already at maxmium infamy and all soldiers were hostile to me. Maybe that does something.
>>747581057I didn't let anyone in because that seemed retarded. I didn't want them to be watching me fuck Anca.I wonder if Xanthe helps you out with the trick room in Griefburg Castle, though.
>>747580146You can't do anything gay with him, literally just talk him down you sissy.
>>747580802I was just trying to climb to the top because faggot kept saying some shit about the view on the top. Then I fell I ended up in her boss battle. This was mad early in the game and I didn't do a single of her quest shit. Ended up killing her after wasting tons of healing items.
>>747581391You can also find him another way. After killing Xanthe early, loot the cathedral and find the treasury key. In the treasury, you get clues to find the house with Florin.
>>747580334Brencis is literally trying to rouse an eldritch abomination that will likely destroy the world.
>>747581546>I wonder if Xanthe helps you out with the trick room in Griefburg Castle, though.no, only if you spare her she helps you with that
>>747581641Yes it's very gay that she doesn't even comment on the thing if you drained her.
>>747581501did you get the cinematic of Florin doing mass during the day? after it you go to talk to him and thats what leads to that quest>>747581546>I wonder if Xanthe helps you out with the trick room in Griefburg Castle, though.Nope she has a line when you enter and after you are done but doesn't help youWhen you enter Coen says something like>A last surprise from Xantheand xanthe agrees, can't recall exactly but maybe>yes, a last surpriseonce you are through she says something like>so you beat my maze....Btw i have no idea how that room worked, i kept trying different doors unitl eventually the banner above one of them glowed yellow and that was the exit
>>747581289>>747581419I betrayed Crake and the village hated me. I hugged my father and it paused for a very long time to emphasize he wasn't hugging me back.
>>747568608Was it the jews?
>>747581501You can sneak into the church through the roof at night, find a key to an adjacent building, then pick up a quest to find Florin from there.
>3:1 ratio when it should be females only
>>747581501>Maybe because the first time I went to the cathedral I was already at maxmium infamy and all soldiers were hostile to me. Maybe that does something.Possible I guess? I know I first went to the cathedral because I had a quest marker and that led to the whole Florin thing.
>>747581641>only if you spare herYou can spare her?
>>747581694she says a few unique things like "one last surprise" but she doesnt help
>>747581419>It's the other villagers that very unsubtly hint that you should fuck off.Only one of them does for sure. There is another that will only if you side with Brencis. Funny thing is that the plague does return and kills tons of people in all endings except the one where you side with Brencis.
>>747581779during her dungeon she says she will help you against brencis if you spare her and her daughter
>>747581779yes, at least if you fight her in her keep, dont know if you can spare her if you fight her in the cathedral
>>747581697There's a note in the castle somewhere before that room which tells you to follow the doors with a certain banner outside. I only know this because of Google kinda killed the whole "storming the castle" segment for me getting pissed off with this.
>>747581708I wonder if you can just murder Crake and Vlad of your own accord as soon as you find the Manumit hideout. It would be funny if the game accounted for that.
>>747581697>did you get the cinematic of Florin doing mass during the day?Nope.
>>747581546I roleplayed it as Coen being a softie who doesn't want anyone to die because he has all those guilt issues and letting people have their souls be ripped apart by a hellish entity seemed too cruel. Helps that I killed Ambrus first and he straight up begs you to save him and after that it was like, ok I can do this to everyone now, maybe they'll even be helpful or be redeemed.
>>747581841You can only kill her in the cathedral.
>>747568608They don't? They are perfectly happy with you staying with them. Even Anca wants to get serious with you. You only leave because of Lunca and because the nig vampire tells you to.
>>747568608thats why i waited till 30 days passed bitch ass niggas thanks for the free house
>>747581860ohi mean it was obviously about the banners but i guess i was so ready to be done with the game that i didnt read the notes at that pointty anon
>>747581983Anca already rejected me because she got healed and Coen drinks blood.
>>747581908This may actually be a bug because you were in combat with the guards or something. It's supposed to play the cutscene the first time you enter.
>>747581919Mmm. Xanthe was the first boss I killed and she explained it more matter of factly. That she would just be melding with some hivemind, didn't mind it, and didn't want to be invited. The only reason I had to possibly let her in was "gamer logic", where doing retarded things in RPGs often gives you a secret best ending. Still, I let her go, didn't even drain Ambrus because he was poisoned, then let Bakir and Brencis go.
>>747582030>i was so ready to be done with the game that i didnt read the notes at that pointSame for me. I just rushing through because I was bored as fuck and wanted everything to be over. I skipped almost all the yellow notes and such.
>>747582171>gamer logicDepends. Xanthe might want to but Xanthe's also a eons old vampire with a twisted morality.I do find it funny how she asks "why did you invite me in" in the ending where you sell the rebels out to Brecis.>Fucks sake I gotta stay alive in your head, why didn't you fight you stupid faggot.
>>747582086That's not something that can happen.
>>747582086In the epilogue, she's perfectly willing to hook up with you. She essentially goes "fuck it, I no longer care what the future can bring" implying she's open to a relationship. Then the vampire nigga shows up and yanks you away.
>>747582171That one was hard to justify but I imagined it as Coen hoping he could find a way to safely help her daughter. Bakir also but you can kinda feel sorry for him especially when he admits his fear. Isbrand and Brencis were easier, Isbrand is pure tragedy and Brencis ironically saved Coen and helped him fulfil his dreams, and he mostly bargains with him honestly so it's easy to feel like you want to repay that.
>>747582380I mean rejecting a long term relationship after the sex.>>747582584Yeah at that point I didn't even try, I already saw it as over and did it with Lacra and Crake too.
Anyone else playing on duelist? I feel perpetually underpowered. Ambrus kept two tapping me as well.
>>747582584You just know they made him be a niggalo for DEI reasons. There's no way the council didn't have someone closer who could actually blend in among the people of the valley and discreetly scrub the history books of vampires. Dude better have crazy good mind control powers in the sequel to explain how he can do that shit while being black.
>>747582846I think they just wanted him to look as out of place as possible to denote he wasn't from anywhere close to Vale Sangora.Same as Lacra.
behold the most sovless city in vidyagaming
>>747575051She looks so ugly
>>747582846I can sort of buy that dawnwalkers are insanely rare and they may not have many to choose from who are also useful.
>>747582985What's this about Lacra? I never finished her quest. Last I saw her, we had just rescued Isabrand from the kobold cave.
>>747583080What do you mean? She's just indian.
>>747583260she's egyptian anonand no, she just looks ugly
>>747582985Yeah aside from the out of game reason it's also a way to show there's a worldwide vampire organization running things.
>>747569626Lunka died offscreen
>>747583008I liked it, it's nice that you can run around on rooftops and find weird shit busting into random places.
>>747583139Anon means she looks like an outsider in the setting because she's from Ancient Egypt. She has a questline that can lead to a different ending mission.
does anyone else get weird npc textures after a while? need to do a f5 f9 to fix it
>>747583670no. Game was perfectly fine for me with no bugs.
>>747582846Nah, I agree with that anon that he's just supposed to look out of place and "mysterious" denoting that there is something uncanny about him.
>>747583670I had the ground switch between dirt and snow in the hometown area a few times.
>>747583409It was extremely annoying finding places you could enter, but only with vampire abilities at night. I'd end up forgetting all about them due to not wanting to waste the timer.
>>747583008That city is so Blood Omen, I love it.
>>747575051>i will now buy your game
Brencis was a cool character. For a villain, he was talking a lot of sense. If he wasn't a murderhobo, I would've considered joining him.
>Coen is Geralt>Anca is Yennefer>4 vampires are the 4 generals of the wild hunt, Brencis is eredin etc>Goat race are just people from Skellige>Exact same combat, systems, menus, UI>Wolf form is roach>Final boss fight is the exact same from Blood & Wine, each phase, the enemy and even the location look the sameI actually cannot believe they were allowed to release this, whilst company's like WB hold onto the nemesis system for so long. You could tell me this is a fan mod for TW3 and I would have no idea.
>>747584567Definitely. It's been a while since I've seen such a good antagonist, I kept having to remind myself that siding with him would be bad because he kept being way too reasonable. His VA was awesome too.
>>747584567 From what I can gather, he wanted to bring Satan into the world and try to tame him. Probably because something something saving the souls of vampires.
>>747585023they are completely different other than being fantasy medieval open world-ish games
>>747584567>>747585048Are you guys retarded? He's just evil for the sake of it and his motive is never explained.
>>747585243He was a more or less decent ruler compared to the last guy, the ritual is the problem here but he seemed to have meant it to deal with the entity and have vampires exist openly and go out in the sun and stuff like that, I'm sure it would have killed a ton of people so yeah it's still bad.
>>747568608>peasants are retarded>peasants act retardedi mean... yeah. but i get what you mean anon.
Neustadt. Home of the Jewish community.
>>747585023>coen is neutered geralt>anca is a disloyal hag witch>yeah>shitty allegory for racism>combat is more varried at the price of skill tree slop>ehhh>yeahstill prefer this over the witcher tho
>>747570782team werewolf every day of the week. Women prefer the knot over a long-haired man crying about their day>>747570926they're emotional faggots
>Bakir doesn't say a word since letting him in>finally comments on Coen and Lacra fucking kek
>>747585972anon.... women will alwasy pick the vampire and you know it
>>747568921>Its actually very realistic writing.Realistically, every single female, your family included, would want to jump on your dick if you were a vampire.
>>747575051>recolor of Anca's bodylazy
>>747586085he's happy when i find treasure and makes generic comments about liking fighting and slaughter
>>747581983because all it takes is 1 bad day for you to kill someone. That hunger isn't going away
>>747579808It does still matter because after his coronation it takes way longer for the Augurs to do something about him, like it takes years and years for pointy nigga to bring him down and he gets there literally before Coen leaves and they show you how much changes in that time
>>747584567>Accidentally make the villain likeable and agreeableAny other games for this feel?
>>747587274Areelu in WotRKerghan in Arcanumhard to even call him a villain but Constantin in Greedfall
>>747587274Legacy of Kain.If you assume Kain is a villain.

>>747587274Metal Gear Rising Revengeance obviously
Im ~10 hours into the game, level 15 and im really enjoying it, especially the combat on the hardest difficulty This is easily on par with Witcher 3I feel like a second playthrough with vampire power unlocked even during the day would be really fun too, love the gameplay with it
How the hell do I get from level 33 to 50 in 11 days?
>>747588320Why do you want to? You can win easily at around 40.
For the post-credit CGI cutscene: Why was Coen waiting in that chair, dying for a delivery man? Did he know he'd be in a fight 3 days prior or something? Then his attacker appears, this makes no sense?
>>747582846>DEIYeah it's DEI for the dawnigga to take years to do something the white guy can get done in 30 days
>>747588501If you think about it for two seconds obviously he was expecting a bloodbag delivery because he would be someone that orders those all the time on account of being a fucking vampire and he was hiding out at home waiting for it to show up after getting beaten up in a fight

>>747575051
This game has a really good soundtrack, wish it would let you actually listen to it I think the recent patch fixed some of the music cues though, I don't get dead silence as much as I was at launch
>>747588374You're supposed to be able to and there's a cheevo for it
>>747588636But then the bad guy turns up 2 seconds later? Was this game developed by Marvel?
>>747589029yes but only if you go past the 30 (or 31) day time limit
Just finished the game. I was kind of done with everything and went immediately to the castle. Was way longer than I expected, but alright. >>747581919>>747582171>>747582643Man, you guys really went in for that. I didn't save anyone. Send them all to hell.
>>747582846>>747582584>>747588514Where are you guys taking that he's that powerful? In the ending I got, he appears and Vicho (who I found out in the last moments was actually murdering people, yet still appeared) warns that he's dangerous, that's it.
>>747582846To be fair, how much can a black guy stand out as an oddity in a place where vampires and goat men are walking around?
I don't know this motherfucker's plan because he never explained it to me. Didn't get much from the lore texts either. I'm going to watch the remaining endings on YouTube now. It's a good thing to avoid the old cliche of villain monologues, but still, I wanted just a wee bit more. kek
>>747590586Yeah we dont know shit other than his plan was tied to anachora and that he tried it before with Lacra and Istbrand stopped themSome anons say he was trying to summon whatever lives/controls anachora others anon say it was some sort of blood moon to eclipse the sun and make it night forever but we really know jackshityou can do the last mission with lacra and she doesn't explain a single fuck
>>747570262I'm cheating the fuck out of the game rolling back time and getting extra skills when I level.I don't give a fuck, I want to complete everything.
>Max infamy closes the city gatesI understand the game logic but this is extremely annoying if you have quests in there. I've just downloaded a "fast travel anywhere" and "shadowstep anytime" and that game is infinitely better.
>>747591184To be fair, I do like that Lacra is deliberately obtuse and this keeps biting her in the ass. Because then she goes "Coen, you have to trust me" and Coen in a rare moment of lucidity simply asks her why should he give a fuck about anything she says.
>Intro cinematicWas king Skendar really chasing after 2 peasant children to kill them? Seems odd for a king to be doing this, especially when the peasents had the plague?
>>747591809Yes, but on the other hand, max infamy allows you to intimidate people in dialogue. That's a funny skill, because you now only need to introduce yourself and the guards run away screaming.
>>747591809There's a hidden shrine in one of the houses you can explore at night. When the gates shut you can still use it as a fast travel point when all the other ones in the city disable. I think there's also supposed to be a hole in the city wall somewhere but I haven't found it.
>>747591184>Some anons say he was trying to summon whatever lives/controls anachora others anon say it was some sort of blood moon to eclipse the sun and make it night foreverYeah, I'm reading everything I can now. Just read that somehow he was also trying to stop a "bigger bad", but that looks like bullshit.
>>747590586Broad strokes I think it's supposed to be something like this:Imagine Brencis is Chris-chan, and the thing that lives Anachora that all the Vrakhir are terrified of is Sonic the Hedgehog. Brenics was trying to do the dimensional merge and bring Sonic into the real world.
This game is a parry slop.
I'm still waiting for the first performance patch before jumping inI hate the UE5 stutters so much
>>747591184bro, we know from some of his notes that you can read in game... that he just got sick of having to hide what he is and the foolishness of humans. So he wanted to take over and rule. The plague was the perfect time to do so.

>>747590586>>747591184Lacra states he's trying to do some sort of cliché>le eternal night twilight aristocracy But she's probably bullshititing seeing as how Brencis doesn't give a shit about that at all. In reality (which admittedly is also hinted at), he's probably trying to bind vampire moth satan so his soul doesn't get tortured for eternity.
>Help Anca free the nuns from their curse>This is actually the bad endingWhat the fuck?
I absolutely loved the game only to chimp out when I got to the end and didn't find any answers to the questions I had.Seeing how the game was clearly made on a tight budget I really doubt that the devs even know what will happen next.Seeing as it was confirmed that there will not be any dlc or expansions and the minimum wait for the next entry is at minimum 4 years away I find it hard to give a shit about the series.
>>747595082>it was confirmed that there will not be any dlc or expansionswhere
>>747587958>have torch out>enter cutscene>torch gone>equip torch again>another cutscene plays 5 steps ahead
How much of an edgelord self righteous cunt can you be in this game without it trying to beat you with a "u'r bad'' stick
What kind of fucking asspull is this please?
>>747595532Depends on the endingIf you make a deal with brencis it makes little sense but if you were defiant to the end he tells you that he has taken measures in the unlikely event of your victory
>>747595532The only asspull is when it could have happened. It makes sense he would do it, and Coen certainly had a feeling it was going to happen.
>>747595735>>747595821Went in with Lacra and kicked his ass. The family was trapped inside the roots first, then they all get saved, then in the epilogue Coen is crying at her grave, and I was wondering how the fuck that happend, just to see her like this later.Felt kinda rushed to be honest.
>>747580334
>>747596127Yeah, I did lacra too. The ending is pretty obviously designed around solo/rebels primarily and doesn't really mesh with the order of operations in the lacra option. Like, how does Brencis become a Resident Evil final boss when we STARTED by fucking the ritual? The fact that you see the older sister in the murder roots made me think it was her grave, the whole ending doesn't really make sense following the lacra mission.
>>747596127i dont think you see Lunka half melded to the "vines" like you see Yanna and MirkoIf you let brencis kill Lacra and run with your family you liberate the ones in the vines and realize Lunka is missing, you see coen walk into a room while brencis and lacra are fighting and go down to his knees>no no lunka noooo (or whatever)It probably wasn't properly communicated in your ending, but Lunka was never trapped on the vines
I just did the Home Sweet Home quest, that was... alot.
>>747596578yah the normal enemies on that mission could take a nerf to their hptook forever
>>747581501I missed Florin too. I had a quest about him pretty early on, but I stumbled into the middle of that mission and accidentally skipped the first part I think
>>747596652Yeah I lowered the difficulty to fight the normal enemies and honestly considering what the story was going for, the bloated health felt intentional, also do you keep repeating the cycle if you dont check the well?
>>747596921If you loop four times, you get locked into the nightmare forever via a special ending. To be fair, you have to be literally retarded or go out of your way to see this ending.
>>747596578>Bet you wish you put points into witchcraft now, huh Coen?
>>747596446>>747596508Yeah, Lunka won't be brought up if you chose to just fight him, so I assumed she was just trapped inside the veins/roots as well.
>>747582836Yes but with attack indicators. Make sure you get as many damage upgrade skills as you can, and passive healing is nice too. As a vampire, you can shadowstep to dodge almost all red skull unblockable attacks, and usually you can hit them quite a few times before they finish and respond
>>747586178You need my fucking cock I can HEAR you DROOLING and SALIVATING at the thought of it This obsession you have with my trouser demon, well... it's pathetic. But I must admit I find myself... intrigued at the prospect...return to me at moonrise and perhaps we'll have a little...chat...

>>747597218>Shadowstep in combatAm I retarded? Not once did I do this
>>747596127>Felt kinda rushed to be honest. Not far fetched at all. It's rushed. Watch the other endings on YouTube. EVEN if you kill Brencis right in the beginning, during the prologue, Lunka still gets infected. So how the fuck he,1. Burned Laslea2. Killed aristocracy3. Kidnapped Coen's family4. Infected LunkaAll in one go, while also planning, just in case, Coen actually going on a rampage eventually to murderhobo everyone.
>>747595079It was pretty obviously some bad magic going on and Anca didn't understand it, so it was dumb to fuck with it and complete a mystery ritual for the devil lmao Coen has to call her out for having a woman moment and put an end to that nonsense
>>747597642Yeah, it teleports you behind whatever enemy you're looking at, nothing personnel style
>>747597642>Am I retarded? Not once did I do thisIt's incredibly useful. Every time some a murohn tried their faggy scream on me I would immediately TP on their asses and start hacking. Worked wonderfully on the bosses, and Ascended Brencis, too. Try it, anon.
>>747597642I did it by accident and felt like an idiot for never even considering it could be an option even though all the murohns you fight in-game are doing it to you constantly.

>>747599398Her quest is pretty good, but nothing that special. You might also have to fight a couple more mooks at the end of the game, but that's about it.
I know the competition isn't that big but is Dawnwalker the best vampire game ever made? The only one that comes to mind is obviously VTM
>>747598109There are so many questions like that in the game that I just ignore them and move on
>>747599682I like Vampyr
>>747599398It's weird how she's the only Boyar you can fight early like that. I wonder if there was cut content where you could do the same to Ambrus and Bakir, or if they just put that in as something cool to show off in their demos.
>>747599319And that's why I fucking killed all of them, and never absorbed any of those fuckers. I bet Lacra is doing some bad shit around the world, too. She doesn't deserve much love either.
>>747599836my guess is its because of the time systemLike normally a player would avoid it to experience the content and all, but if theres time pressure you can get 1 boss out of the way instantly.
>>747568608i don't even know what this game is about and will likely never bother looking into it, because reading the title makes me immediately assume it was made by ESL thirdies.
>>747599682I think the Nosgoth setting has still better writing, especially Blood Omen and Soul Reaver, but future installments might outdo them.If it's going to be a trilogy I hope the third game will have a contemporary setting.
>>747600001Do you have actual brain damagewere you molested as a child?
>>747598109>>747599753Dawnwalker blood tastes like shit apparently. It probably doesn't have the healing powerz
>>747600082
So Coen is a Dawnwalker by accident due to the silver in his blood? What about Mihai or Ngubu from the ending?
I like a lot of the game, but Anachora might be the worst vampire lore setting I've ever seen. Just really lame, honestly.
>>747600210It tastes like shit to brencis because Dawnwalkers are caused by silver chelation in the subject's blood. I doubt it affects the healing properties of his blood, as he's a full vampire at night.
>>747600418Buy the sequel to find out!
>>747600418Lacra said that at some point they could make Dawnwalkers on purpose for special tasks, but that knowledge is lost. Mihai and Ngubu might be some of those.
>>747600418Mihai was probably just a random shitter miner who got accidentally raised up by Coen, hence his backstory as the peasant folk hero. Ngubu is probably an accident too, but I wouldnt put it pas the auguers to intentionally create them as their agents.
>>747568608It's an allegory for the judeo-christian controlled Europe.
>>747570262>cheating>chadmore like Chang, you spiritually Chinese faggot LOL
>>747600418Coen became a dawnwalker from working in a silver mine. The bar on becoming a dawnwalker isn't that high.
>>747601075They mentioned his lungs were toast from working in the mineso its not very pleasant process
>>747568693Fippy bippy
>>747568608I wanna do a no human blood low corruption run for my first play-through.Should I focus on sword or magic?
>>747602247You can only use magic during the day. I only spent 7 points into magic and it was already overpowered, though. Just go swords, and put the odd point into magic every now and then. First skill is already really strong if you dump some points into it and health regen on magic damage. Also focus on magic damage and cooldowns when collecting day gear.
>>747602247>>747602703All the points I dumped into magic and if I wanted to I never had to get close to an enemy and still win. Just cast Burning Blood to do damage and Soul Reaping to keep your health topped off.
>>747603429I ended up with something similar. Investing in witchcraft powers is really good, but everything the actual perk tree seemed pretty lackluster. Some of the elites look nice, but aren't worth the investment.Late in the game I ended up going heavy into crits so I swapped out Soul Reaping for the power that increases crit chance and damage and also slotted in the heal on crit passive. With cycle of of ruin as well I'd only need to cast them once per fight.
>>747599682Vampyr and VTM are its only competition.
listen coen, I know you're a supervampire that just killed an 8 foot tall clay monster abomination like you were slicing a bushel of wheat, but uuh, uhm, I have to do this okay? there are like 4 totally normal mortal city guards on our heels, we can't let them catch us, this is the only way, okay?
>>747599682vtmb is in the running for actual best game ever made without the vampire caveat, so no, it's not even close. it's probably comfortably in second place though, because again, not much competition, vampyr is terrible, the other WoD vamprie game is so-so.
>>747600006that's true, some legacy of kain games are also better, forgot about them in this response >>747605018
The game says this area is off limits despite wind chimes luring you thereweird
>>747568608This game's writing was fucking terrible.
>>747604929The whole manumit questline felt so rushed. Coen has only met them twice by that point and the first time they were rightfully distrustful, but by this point they are already acting like best buddies.
>>747604929I guess he still didn't trust Coen and knew he couldn't take the 4 guards on his own
>>747605490It's a quest specific area. You'll go there if you do Lacra's quest.
>>747605763Makes sense, they should probably do some sort of gating system like heres roots or closed door you cant open instead of magic teleporting you out of the area
>>747605626I mean that seems to me a post hoc rationalization of the scene, but I think it's far more easy to see it as the scene not being rational at all, the writers were going through the motions, introduced a plot beat they'd seen before elsewhere, that they either thought they ought to include or wanted to, without really thinking out how fitting it was. in general a lot of the rebel arc is incongruent with the leverage that coen gives them, it's very focused on the lesser evil, about making sacrifices or feelings of urgency making people act poorly, so much of it doesn't makes sense with coen there.
>>747599682From an actual gameplay perspective, sure because it's just a solid action game and it's only viable competition are all pretty jank and rely on their narrative structure and setting a bit more. That said, Narratively and thematically I don't really like how Dawnwalker handles most aspects of Vampirism. It feels a bit to much like a super hero thing, particularly with the titular ability of the protagonist. Personally I also prefer Vampires adapting to modern settings as opposed to Medieval stuff and I really like it when powerful vampires are more eldritch and the metaphysical role of Christianity is much more present. As such I'm heavily biased towards the VTM setting.
>>747605018>vtmb is in the running for actual best game ever made without the vampire caveatI love VTMB but that seems like a pretty massive overstatement. I'd agree from a presentation and atmosphere perspective but as a game overall it has too many major issues. It's an amazing time capsule and introduction to VTM though. It's existence along with the general competence of Night Road does raise questions of why the hell White Wolf hasn't invested in some books or a Netflix series, particularly with how well a fan made work like Hunter the Parenting has done for itself.
>>747606297idk man, it's the game I have replayed the most in my life, and I know many that it's the same for, who find it almost uniquely good. it has insane variance and replayability, the imsim elements are the peak of the genre. there are some technical limitations and some jank and you need patches to make it shine, but imo it's not a bad shout for the one of the best games ever made. the fact that it preserves a moment in time so well is also great, but it's more than that.
>>747606517That's probably true for me to. I do love the dialogue and the hidden options in the little combat options presented in the early game. The game is pure soul but most of that soul is concentrated in the game before China Town. I am desperate for Eternal Whispers to be good.
How's the game? I enjoyed Wild Hunt, but that main narrative.
>>747610319It doesnt have any major flaws if you like rpgs time mechanics is annoying but its smooth sailing otherwise if you got a x3d cpu and 50xx gpu

>>747610525then the ue5 performance is def going to annoy you.
>>747610424>It doesnt have any major flaws if you like rpgsNo narrative adaptation to your progression path, no major attributes just static perks that doesn't change a whole lot, pretty by the numbers conveyor belt tv show writing, very camp elements that detract from the tone, stupid eccentric quirks that should have lead to a lot of replayability really not doing much except make the game worse, stupid ubislop mechanics, the focus on objectives to lure out bosses is absolutely sloptastic. "no major flaws if you like rpgs" my butt. it's a horrific rpg, but it's good in many other ways, fantastic ubisoft openworld game, as much as such a game can be fantastic

>>747611079hurts to pull out your teeth, ouch!
>>747611079some made up reason
>>747611079Because the success rate isn't 100%. Given the number of murohns you encounter, it seems like they do attempt to make them quite often.
>>747611279My teacher pulled out my loose tooth back when I was 6 :^(
>>747611079Because they drink human bloodIf they make more vampires who make more vampires eventually the population of vampires will exceed the population of humans, there'll be blood shortages and it'll be chaos
>>747611079They try, it just doesn't go the way they want it to a lot more often than it actually works I think they should try less desu, their main disadvantage against humans is how humans have much greater numbers, but vampires seem to turn on each other way more often than humans do, granted Brencis is said to be especially heretical, but even then the biggest threat to a vampire is another vampire that can just absorb you like the Highlander and circumvent the regenerating wounds thing much easier than a human can
>>747590398>Coen goes around murdering 2 literal thousand+ year old vamps>dumpsters on newborn vampires (Ambrus and Bakir) with no sweat>Vicho knows this and knows how powerful Coen is>Lacra knows as well and is also centuries years old>despite this, Vicho and Lacra still warn Coen to not be a retard and to submitHe's part of the vampire illuminati man. You don't need the game to outright give you power levels to know he's dangerous.
>>747613226Brencis is the only one of that caliber that he ever goes after at more or less full strength though, Xanthe and Bakir are checked out for different reasons, Mihai has been stuck in a wall for a very long time, Isbrand was already 3/4 dead
>>747611079A combination of factors. I'd add to what the anons said that there's a reason Brencis refer to it as "the gift". You indeed turn into a superpowered monster, and that probably has a tendency to make any person turned a bit of an arrogant asshole with their own ideas of grandeur.
>>747613226Fair enough. Thanks.

>>747585243His motive is heavily implied but never spelled out, primarily in Lacra's quests. His ritual is attempting to block out the sun with some kind of shield from Vale Sangora and opening it up as an entrance to Anacora (?), the hell-type place you visit. You can see a mural painting depicting the blood shield when you visit the tomb with Lacra where you eat the mandrake, and the ritual is expanded upon by her when you siege the castle with her but you have to press her to admit it, after she interupts it
oops I forgot to deliever blood to vichohe killed himself :(
>>747617060His dad was a piece of shit and he has his reasons to be that way. It's not right, but it's understandable. I don't know what you are talking about when it comes to the mother. The woman was clearly afflicted by something.
>>747617409Never delivered blood to him (because Brencis close the city), yet there he was in the ending. I guess if you don't activate the quest, it doesn't count. Interestingly.
>>747587274I don't think it was by accident, there are multiple ways for Coen to discover and realise he's actually glad for the vampirism, and Brencis' dialogue during the parley makes him out to be far less cruel or stupid than his predecessor (or the son, who you meet if the Rebels help you assault the castle). You're never directly told this but Brencis is basically 'revolting' against the Augurs, some kind of vampire cops/legislature which enforces a sort of masquerade-esque style, namely that humans can't ever find out about their existence and the vampires who step out of line get killed for it. He's sick of it and is looking for a way to empower himself by means of the ritual to stand up to them. He isn't needlessly cruel in any scene we see him compared to for example Bakir, he isn't using his status to inflict revenge like Ambrus, and he doesn't have attachments to his 'real' life like Xanthe which causes vicious cruelty. Plus, given how awful just about everyone in this story seems to be with Coen being the ONLY exception, Brencis simply looks a lot better when compared to everyone else you interact with
>>747616495You have to drink their blood, but there are vials of their blood available at places throughout the game. I'm sure there are wiki type websites that list out the locations. Ambrus' ability is passive but pretty much the most overpowerd thing in the game (Healing from parries), Brencis is a sonar cone that stuns all targets in front of you, Lacra's is mind control, Xanthe is "explode a target" that deals AoE damage around it, and Bakir's is a time stop. They're all pretty good but Ambrus' one is secretly the most busted despite being passive
Is there a note that explains why there are no horses in the region? I assume its budget restraints but would be cool if they managed to come up with an excuse lore wise
>>747618159only creature tastier to vrakhiri than humans.
HOLY FUARK
>>747618159Horses exist in the universe. The drunk guy said he and your dad had one when they were mercs. As for in-game, probably budget reasons. Much easier to reuse the wolf model and animations + easier to animate Coen/a human because he has unique stepping animations when you witchcraft-dash and jump up/down on rocks.
>>747598109Coen's own blood is like acid to vampires.
>>747610470I heard that CDPR was going to re-release Witcher 3 with updated combat. Maybe that will make it better.
>>747618008Oh, right. Never figured that out. I did get Scarlet Shield by putting points in it, though, and it's indeed OP as fuck. Never bothered to drink blood again after that.
>>747618729>Maybe that will make it better. From the trailer's I've seen it's pretty much the same thing.
>>747617429>turning into a mental slobbering mess that has to be fed like a baby and essentially abandoning your family because 1 son diedIn an age where child mortality rate is high and common its inexcusable. Messing up her meds or ignoring them at the start is the best ending.
>>747618845Anon, she turned like that when Brencis arrived and started his blood masses, then it got worse after what happened with Lunka. Have some empathy.
>>747618845You know she gets cured at the end if she survives, right?
>>747618315There are two types of legendaries - 'unique' and 'non-unique'. The unique ones have fixed locations/drops, the non-unique ones (like that ring) are RNG and you can find it several times in random loot places. The higher level you are the higher the odds of finding one. That same ring you just found can be bought off the silver vendor as well, and you can equip it twice. I used it and the arbiter set/st mihai sword and was hitting for 3k+ per swing at the end with the decapitate ability doing 12k and critting for 25k
>>747619364I don't think that ring is a random legendary.
Not sure what they did in the new patch but it is finally playble at 30fps on my shitty 3060 laptop. I just escaped the mine, the dialogue choice change to hunger midway really caught me off guard. I am gonna love this game so much, I guess the real sauce from CDPR really all came to this studio.
>>747619447Just leave the thread and don't come back until you're finished. You'll get spoiled on the story.
Cant wait for all these silver items I collected and which the intro of the game hyped as super critical for winning against the vampire regime to matter in the narrative at some point.
Woke sins>all female npc's that are not love interests all hate Coen by default>there are no young ricebunny npc's, only old chinese hags>there is a female gladiator who is the only brave enough to want to fight the mongol vampire>no female corpses you can talk to (this might be some toxic males fetish so it's not allowed)>you can't side with the pimp in the prostitute quest
>>747619415it is, I also had two of those, one from the silver merchant, the other from a random enemy
>>747620016I doubt it. The ring is from a specific tomb.
>>747619447weird how people tolerate playing like thattheres a pretty large divide in enjoyability with >100 fps and below 60If you got a shit machine playing one of the more harder to run games isnt a great first experience when you can simply visit it later when you get a new machine. Even a geforce now sub would be preferable.
>>747619915No, but you can sell them for a small amount of coin. It's kind of retarded how the game makes a big deal out if you finding the shards of a silver sword and forging them, when you collect enough silver goblets to make 20 silver swords.
>>747620136I cannot notice low FPS at all. I'm just too good at filling in the frames with my imagination, I guess. It must suck for people who don't have my ability, though.

>>747619415It is. I didn't expect any of them to be but I found three duplicate legendaries in a single playthrough. The unique ones are stuff like Brencis' sword or Isbrand's armor
>>747620362Yeah it's way more likely someone found/wrote a cheat mod to duplicate items than the devs literally made a pool of random legendary items that have an RNG% chance to spawn at random locations, what's the matter with you anon
>>747620136Nah it's just what you're used to. Before I got a good computer, I could have a great time with 10-20 FPS. Now I am for 144 but that's because I'm spoiled, not because it actually improves the game
Isnt it a bit weird to have a game about vampires which are a jew allegory and also include jews in it.
>>747620837And golems...

>>747569514>>747569082>>747568608Honestly I kinda though people would show more awe and respect after Coen changed into a vampire, they're supposed to have been mindfucked by vamps for years and they know of their (at least physical) superiority. There'd be plenty of goycattle who never even thought of rising up.

>>747586178As it should be fuck your body diversity positivity bullshit
>>747624872Do you have any skills in the swordsmastery tree? Also lunar games is more like a mini roguelike so you should be equipping whatever you find as long as its better.
>>747596127Coen is pretending she's dead to the other villagers, what happened was Brencis turned her into a failed vampire on purpose before the fight happened.

>>747613931VtM Redemption was good tooLegacy of Kain gamesCabernet is an adverture/rpg/vn type thing that was pretty goodVtMB2 was bad honestly but vampire games are so rareSome of the VtM cyoas are decent.
>>747625998pomp and ceremony is required to care about the bosses to begin withWhen I killed the girl boss without any quests leading up to it my first instinct was "Oh, I must've missed stuff. why was the game designed like this?"
>>747625998They're interesting, introduce new characters and tell you more about the bosses.
>>747627581Redemption was a really good love story game.
>>747627686I also liked how it gets you into the setting, it starts out feeling cliche with the good(ish) and bad vampire clans and then it timeskips and hey, your clan is now in an alliance with all the clans you used to hate because that's how politics work oh and your friends are now in the bad guy alliance? That's actually what sold me on VtM as a universe, it felt lived in like the world keeps moving on despite what your mc does.
Anca is so fuckin pretty, bro.... I can't stop looking at her. She is not otherworldly hot like Yen or Tries, but a perfect homely beauty. I need her so bad.
Just want to know whether the game is worth to spend more time on. I've played for like 10 hours and I got more than a few thoughts>main character is plain as bread>story couldn't be less original>movement powers while being a vampire have no use and give you no advantages whatsoever and are only required during the tutorial>time mechanic while being somewhat original is poorly implemented. Stuff you do several times during the game skips from 0 to 3 time tics at random and sometimes it just skips a whole day without giving you a hint before doing it (just as it says it would do during the tutorial)>combat is so boring it pisses me off. It is easy but takes ages because the most random unarmored dude is a bullet sponge and you can't get more than 3 hits in a row because you get gangbanged by 6 dudes armed with skillets that can 2 hit KO youSo yeah, I could go on but anyways, can it recover? I got limited time to play and a few other games I want to try or keep playing
Love this game so far. I’m just hoping for the sequel we get>More enemy variety with more varied movesets >Some ranged weapons>More alternatives to finish quests, maybe they can pull off the stealth system that was clearly cut next time >a stricter time limit. Maybe they could compromise with a “hardcore mode” where you have to spend time for certain skills/powers, and time is more important, versus a regular mode where you don’t have to spend time for skills

>>747627581The best part about Redemption was Christof "The Vampire Genocider" Romuald. He's such a ridiculous character compared to the VTM ruleset, it's downright hilarious. He's a good lad, though.
>>747627927Its particularly gorey and misery porn game. Mc is fine, I dont need him to be more special. Voice acting is fine.I find the movement to be nice sometimes, scaling walls, pressing "e" smokes you up a cliff in a more agile way. You have instant haste power to run faster instead of the "press e to summon horse, horse takes few sec to spawn, your horse spawns behind you so you need to run it and slowly get up to speed in the direction you want to go, and if you unmount you repeat.Time mechanic is what it is. It may have some lingering effects from being toned down a bit. Like you can imagine in early build you would not have teleporting and you need to do stuff locally more so you're more time efficient. Combat can suffer from too much repetition and enemy sponginess. I dread having to fight a group of wild animals since its like chopping wood.

>>747625307Can you fuck up Brencis during the parley quest?
>>747625024> before the fight happened. It also still happens if you defeat him in the prologue. He must have done it right before you show up.
>>747627582Come on man, it's not a bad thing that you can do it. Just like killing Maggie Chow early in Deus Ex. Killing Xanthe without doing any of her quests is actually useful if you're trying to keep your notoriety down.
>>747629261Yeah but presumably the family dies, at least the dad.
How do you get the mind control perk in the vampire tree?
>>747629414I think it's from drinking Lacra's blood.
>>747629395Wouldn't drawing him away from the castle before killing him reduce the risk of harm to your family?
>>747629414You have to eat the Mandrake in Lacre's quest, I think.
>>747629438That would explain things. I missed a ton of quests. Didn't finish Lacra or the rebels, and also there's apparently some guy called Aurelis that I missed completely. Not to mention the fairies.
>>747629460No because he specifically chooses a spot where angry spirits will murder everyone around if blood gets spilled and he brings the dad along (this happens accidentally even if you do it properly but then he helps you fight the spirits and save the dad).
>>747629414Bretty sure it’s from eating vampire pussy. Unironically.
so apparently you can save your mom in the beginning if you brewed the potion correctly? what causes the rebellion to happen then?
>>747629975Of course you can. She survives and even regains her senses in the end if you kill Brencis. >what causes the rebellion to happen then? You mean the manumits? They're going to fight Brencis no matter what, unless you do it without them.
>>747630056>You mean the manumits? He means going to the mine. Which still happens because Brencis is mean to her.
even in the josef mengele cave the tapestry has christian saturday morning cartoons idea of depicting human bodies
>>747630105Oh yeah, that's not because of her, it's because of your dad. He drags you there no matter what.
>>747630161I've played LA Noire and seen the crime scenes where naked women are stung up and dismembered. I don't need to see that here. Besides that, the vampires just want people's blood, not their clothes.
>>747629975Yes / the rebellion was already happening because of Vlad and your dad, which was stupid because you already knew Brencis was on to them if you talked to the uriash. Brencis is still a dick so Coen is still scared that he'll kill the mom eventually and he still goes to the mine and gets wrapped up in this.
>>747570323While it's cool, it literally isn't optimal, Vale Sangora is full of problems, revelations and acquisitons that only get happen because of Coen's involvement. If you want to heal Anca's scars, help set the Urioshi tribe's affairs in order, kill the other boyars, free Saint Mihai from his eternal imprisonment under the cathedral, meet and make friends with Lacra and Vicho etc. then his parents need to be abducted.
I still don't get why you can't absorb Mihai's soul like the others, doesn't he go to hell otherwise?

>>747630893Yeah that is basically vampire hell. You should be able to save him by inviting him in like you do the others.
>>747631048Part of good game design is not putting in trap choices in front of the player that result in something objectively undesirable that a large portion of players will choose because of how its presented.
>>747630770I like it more than Witcher 3, I found myself actually caring about what I was doing instead of mindlessly clearing up the map. Also playing a vampire is fun, you can walk up walls and teleport around at night.
>>747630989nta but I didn't know if I'd like it at first and now I do want it to be successful so they make more
>>747631081Maybe it's different for dawnwalkers, or for him because he was a saint who did good his whole life
>>747631129If you want a linear game that stops you from taking shortcuts or making tradeoff decisions, play something else.
>>747613931There probably Skyrim mods for that
>>747568608If you let your family die then the timer mechanic really becomes a non-issue. And is even worth saving them? Your father is an asshole. Your mother is inept and an invalid. You have siblings who are all much younger than you. I know you're supposed to WANT to save your family as that is the RIGHT thing to do, but in terms of the people you're saving and knowing how everyone views vampires; it's probably not worth it. I'm not surprised the village, and his family resents Coen and asks him to leave. Sure, he liberated them, but they know he's a vampire and they can never look at him the same again because vampires caused all their problems to begin with. They're monsters and oppressors and nothing will change that in their eyes, not even one of their own, who is a vampire, saving them from the other vampires. Coen would have to accept that he's no longer apart of the human world. Frankly I have no issues letting the family die. The game didn't really do a good job making me want to save Coen's family in the first place. It's a shit family. Lunka is the only one I felt some sympathy for. Coen clearly likes her the most and wants to protect her, but you could also view it as Coen protecting them from the outside. He might be resented and feared, but he can still "protect" his family without being with them. He can watch over them from afar like a guardian. It's still depressing, but it's not entirely painted as him "abandoning" his family, but is it worth protecting people who see you as a monster and don't want to accept you back? Not really. Fuck em.
I really need to find a comprehensive list of all the armour pieces and their effects. Is it really so hard to find out if there's any boots that boost weapon damage? Fuck.

It was pretty disappointing that the manumit storyline was basically the Crake storyline. You would think taking down the Boyars would involve them somehow, but no those niggas were completely useless the entire game. And Xanthe is straight up lying to you, she keeps killing if you let her live and also killing the daughter is treated as a mercy. Ambrus and Isbrand are also partly very tragic figures but you're not claiming that makes them angels because? Even Bakir has a tragic backstory and Brencis is surprisingly reasonable and you are told multiple times you should be somewhat grateful for him "freeing" you, if any of those were female you'd be seething over how the game makes them angels too.

A cycle is also 8 ticks, so 4 ticks isn't "almost an entire cycle".And if it annoys you, why aren't you using the mod?t.did all the quests and invest all my skills and had 5 days at lvl 42 (not the random poi).
>Dawnwalker:The Line
Just picked up the game. I hope bad dude is better justified later on>village ridden with black plague>dude comes up, cures them >only requires cutting your hand once a month >village keeps living the same life except no black plague>"nooooo, let's rebel, he pushed my mother"???Also if a 'game over' screen comes up at the end of the 30 days if you decide not to finish the main quest I'm going to be pissed
>>747637996This confirms the time mechanic is cumbersomeAlso, its funny how much niggers were bitching about people modding it and now it has come to this
>>747638483>only requires cutting your hand once a monthThat and gotta pay taxes, b-b-but we promise, only 2 raises of taxes once a year!!!>"nooooo, let's rebel, he pushed my mother"And right after that, he says there'll be a great cleansing, his mother days are counted
>>747637803You're also getting experience perk points and gearThere isn't a bad use of time apart from waiting
>>747638778>You're also getting experience perk pointsThat also require you to spend time>and gearThat you can randonmly get from dudes or in chests. Time mechanic is a poorly implemented excuse to convince you the game is original. It's just a witcher copy. I never was a witcher fan, but playing this is making me appreciate the original concept more the same way watching 2 episodes of rings of power made me appreciate the hobbit more. The only decent part is the prologue and the herbs chick missions, the rest is mediocre at best
