But...that doesn't make sense.
>>
Shut up fagg/o/t
>>
>>747570621
It's for the driver to laugh hard
>>
Driving EVs suck in racing games. In games with manual transmission they remove the ability to shift, which is boring as shit, and even when there's no transmission select the complete lack of exhaust note makes the experience flavorless.
>>
>>747570621
apparently a few electric cars include "fake engine noises" to appeal to car dudes
so let's call this "fake nitrous"
>>
You can OC the battery if you want to go faster. It's the same deal as NOS at the end of the day (burn more fuel through an injection of oxygen-rich chemical = car go vroom better).
>>
>>747570621
Just put in a small battery to overcharge the motor for a few seconds. There, electric nitro boost.
>>
Should say overclock
>>
>>747570621
what are /v/'s thoughts on electric vehicles?
>>
>>747570621
Just feed it into the gasoline-powered generator in the back, that will give you more juice to let your electric car go faster
>>
>>747571417
shit
>>
>>747571417
Just give me self-driving cars at that point.
>>
>>747571593
they already exist
they're called buses
>>
>>747571658
Well they REALLY exist but I don't want to pay every time I go somewhere.
>>
>>747571094
I thought the fake engine noises were for pedestrian awareness.
>>
>>747571745
No, that's just that weird humming sound that makes it both noticeable and futuristic-sounding.
>>
>>747571034
>In games with manual transmission they remove the ability to shift, which is boring as shit
GT7 has the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N which has the manual shifting.
>>
>>747571658
>need to wait for them
>not avaible 24/7
>doesn't drop you off in the door of your house
fuck off jew
>>
>>747571417
I think I'm going to laugh my ass off once a sizeable portion of the population buys one and they try plugging them to the grid at the same time
>>
>>747571745
That's definitely cope, unless the guy is runnning his "muffler-less" track at full volume while driving 30 kmh no pedestrian will notice that shit.
>>
>>747571890
Forza Horizon 6 has the Audi e-Tron but its "shifting" is just a two "gear" system that only caps your speed at 80 MPH in the lower gear.

I'm not even sure what the point is. Maybe the real car works that way but...why? So you don't speed in the city? If you forget to shift it (which changes nothing about the car's performance - you can just go past 80 MPH) then you ruin your start.
>>
>>747570621
Its possible.
>>
>>747572221
I guess you can put a nitrous tank in an EV, yes.

It wouldn't be connected to anything but it would be there.
>>
>>747571745
lol fuck pedos run em over
>>
>>747570621
I love EVs so fucking much, ICE faggots keep complaining.
>>
>>747572317
you could connect it to the cooling system to achieve peak power for longer
dunno if it works but sounds plausible enough for a video game series that lets you EMP attack other cars
>>
>>747573173
Well that's not that game but NFS Rivals has that feature.
>>
>>747571785
is that on purpose? it fucking sounds like a goddamn ghost is going by and I get spooped every single time I go buy groceries these days
>>
>>747573284
That is the intention, yes. It's pretty audible, moreso than the car's normal sound (which is basically nothing).
>>
>>747571745
The humming is for safety in parking lots. That anon was talking about the fake ass engine rev sounds some ev cars have as an option
>>
>>747573960
Can't say I've heard any car like that then.
