Update: 3/12 200CC with CPU's for the first one is now!

So what's the reason for them increasing the max speed in the update? Just to fuck with people's leaderboards in an attempt to get people ....playing the old MK again instead of the new one?

No one really knows, maybe there might be another dlc to reuse the last of the tour content or maybe Nintendo is just crazy.

I heard that thanks to the update playing 8dx on the switch 2 is worse than on switch 1 because they added obstacles to the switch 2 version.

Not really, the obstacles VERY rarely come into play. I can't really think of a time where a obstacle made me lose a race.

Oh, I looked it up and realized I can just get it since I have the NSO expansion pass (piggybacking off a friend's plan), so that works for now. I presume it'll go invalid whenever this tier of online expires, but I'll be bored of it by then.

I was right to trade this away for Splatoon 2 nine years ago. I don't know how anyone can say with a straight face that MK8>MKW. The only thing that's better is battle mode. Having a million tracks doesn't matter if the handling and physics sucks. And of course the trick system is the best thing to ever happen to Mario Kart.

No straight lines in MK8.

>Much lower skill ceiling compared to World, a normal player could realistically go near a pro's skill level with some time and luck compared to World where the normal player gets stomped by pros 99.9% of the time
That one is really important, you need give a normal player a win at some point otherwise they will leave after getting curbed stomped so many times.

I like world a lot more than 8 deluxe but I have a lot less time and experience spent on 8 deluxe and I'm much better at world so I can't refute any points
