I get a bad vibe from Wardogs' marketing. Reminds me of Splitgate's team going MAKE FPS GREAT AGAIN, like they're trying to tap into the swarms of retarded social media posters who are mad about The Current State of Shooters without even really understanding why.It's weird to me that they were like "erm, we're not making one of those EXTRACTION SHOOTERS" while making a game that more or less has extraction mechanics just in a game that doesn't end when you die.It's a neat game but honestly I think the only part about it that's a unique sell is the economy/progression. They have the carrot on a stick of an extraction shooter in a more casual setting where it doesn't feel as bad to lose. It feels pretty cynical to me, honestly.

i tried the beta and got filtered by the milsim map sizes. i don't want to play a game where it takes 10 minutes of just driving to get back to the front line everytime I die. battlefield is the perfect balance of milsim and arcadey action. I want to just jump in and murder and war dogs does not have this.

>>747597336It's only natural that you get bad vibes from it because the devs are scammers (see the whole Battallion shitshow) and even now straight up lie to everyone claiming how they "refunded everyone" for that game, when in reality they only refunded the original Kickstarter backers while everyone else who bought their shit on Steam got fuck all. Now they claim to have done a full 180, being all transparent and whatnot, when they essentially just do whatever they want while people suck them off for shitty PR talk videos where they just say what everyone wants to hear, all in the name of transparency of course :^).And that's just about the devs, ignoring the fundamental and structural issues the game itself has. Maps are too similar, the playable area is only a fraction of the entire map, turning the rest into a glorified loading screen with a bit of nature and then some absolute mouth breather on that dev team had the glorious idea to split the play area completely uneven. You'd think that in order to give 3 teams equal space in a circular area that a Northwest/Northeast/South layout would be ideal, right? Well, not here. Let's shove two teams further down south and make it West/East/South, resulting in the south team (who also gets to wear bright blue uniforms and white helmets) constantly getting sandwiched. Having an experience system on top of the cash metagame is also completely idiotic, especially when you hide crucial anti air tools behind higher levels. Feedback? Gets mostly ignored for now. It's basic shit like this that they can't even get right, so if they keep this up I'd actually be surprised if this game even survives its own early access.
