How do I become a good writer for video games? Which good vidya writers should I be inspired by?I realized that /v/ can only talk bad about video game writers, so I wonder who would be good enough to /v/ standards. I wrote a story by myself and I realized it's too unconventional, it have too much monologues and schizo ramblings. I had fun writing and reading it, I want to put it in a video game, but I wonder if it will touch someone's heart the way I intended to.

Its really just dependant on your own skills as a writer , /v/idya writing in itself isnt much different from what you would write for a tv show or movie. Theres a lot of writing you can do though environmental or gameplay storytelling which are unique to games which might be interesting at least. Hotline Miami and Darksouls both do those pretty well
