I like making characters, I like fleshing them out, I like seeing my creations interact with game worlds. I don't like games with premade protags unless those protags play a huge role in the story. Like Nine Sols is heavily intertwined with Yi's personality and backstory, so it makes sense. But making something like The Witcher an open world branching choices game just waters down your premade character. It would've been better with a blank slate. If Geralt is such a kewl dude - then don't make me choose whether to have him be kewl during quests.
