>>747615330They're simple action games with an emphasis on puzzle solving. The appeal is that they offer a universal heroic fantasy in a colorful, wholesome bow. I personally could never get into them because I found the ones I've tried to have annoying music/sfx and I'd rather play an RPG, but I can totally get their appeal. Mario has better gameplay, but Mario's also silly. No one wants to explore a Mario world or get invested in its politics.

I don’t even own a switch, I own a ps5 and series x, and I could tell breath of the wild was an enjoyable game to play even if it lacked some of the feel of the older Zelda games. I played it on Wii U, it was intriguing how you could just go straight to Ganon or just progress how you see fit
