the romances in this game are very obviously sequel-gated. Anca is written with the intention of having a heir (probably not biological) in a future game who will fall in love with Coen after finding Anca's invisible ink love confessions and regrets about being muh old woman. Lacra is the easiest to spot tsundere character who will reveal in a future game that she actually does have feeling for Coen beyond being a fling, but was overtly cautious because muh freedom. You can fault the devs for being a little too confident that this game would get future installments, but at least that bet payed off and we will see the future of these sequel-gated romances.
