>What a horrible night to be on /v/!
Just beat the original Castlevania (FDS). Had to save scum on the cookie monster. I think now that I understand how to run under him better I could probably beat him legit.

What sort of spooky games is /v/ playing tonight?

He's rough. Feels like most of the bosses can be beaten just by spamming the cross boomerang.
I think I might do Castlevania 2 next, I haven't played through that in ages and it has great fall vibes.

I have been playing Castlevania Lament of Innocence recently, first time playing btw. And I have to say, despite a few flaws, what a pleasant surprise the game has been.
Exploration is fun, although not the most rewarding, and the dmc style combat is great even if a bit too easy. The atmosphere and art design is fantastic and I enjoy how despite being 3D many things in this game directly remind the player of 2d metroidvania castlevanias. Fine game

Do the first two Parasite Eve games hold up? I've never played them. They were two of the only Squaresoft games that I skipped that generation.

I want to take another run at that, I bounced off of it a few years ago but I think I was distracted with other shit. I want to play the unlockable trick-or-treat mode.

My wife has been looking for a copy of that every time we go by Half Price Books.

I would gift her a new copy of it if I were you. It is well worth it.

I wish I could give you mine. I did not like it. Too dark, not that comfy, or scary. The minatour chapter was intresting though.

Silent hill 2. I know it has been analyzed to death but I still feel that it is a profound experience.

Enjoy it. I wish I could erase it from my brain and read it for the first time again.
