Story is hilariously bad, lots of core gameplay changes, split versions cost, ass translation, uncs like me hadn't given up all hope yet, gimmicky maps aren't for everyone. Personally, I like Conquest gameplay wise.

People just kind of accepted that Awakening had to happen to save the series, but those same people were lead on to believe Fates (Conquest specifically) would be a retvrn to fvrm and more of a classic appeal. Awakening was the turning point but Fates was the doubling down. 3H was the tripling down.

The writing quality was worse than Awakening, which had already been fucking terrible.
