Use a scroll that teleports everyone to another rooms or that paralyses/sleeps everyone, the game must have those kinds of items.

Run to upper left corner and hide behind the edge. Mash slash button as enemies keep walking into hitbox because they cant attack you through walls.

Shiren 2 is probably the closest to PMD, and it's one of the best shiren games to start with.
