Are any of you playing any 4x games?Which one do you think is the best one to introduce people to the genre?(something simple, but with all the general mechanics)
One of the Civ games is the easiest way to start playing 4X
Crusader Kings 3 is the Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition of 4x gamesAnd I mean that as an insult.
You really can't go wrong with showing a newbie Civ 5Artstyle is pretty, no stacks, pretty straightforward

Master of Orion 2Master of MagicCiv IVEmperor of the Fading SunsAlpha CentauriDistant Worlds: Universe (not 2)
just murder your wife like a man, much faster and more reliable
>>747625827Civilization VI is what you're looking for.

Is basic CK2 any good? Or do I need to pirate dlcs to make it fun?Have it in my library after they did giveaway like 2 years ago.
>>747625827Warhammer 40,000 GladiusIt's 4x with combat as the only objective, so it will caught people's interest easier and doesn't overwhelm them with other mechanic like multiple victory condition or advances resources (and learning how 4x combat works is useful to start with)
Civ 5 is the basic bitch 4x (in a good way)Also CK3 isn't a 4x.
>>747625827i used to play the old civ on my mums pc back when i was a child and unciv on my android, i don't know i'm not a huge fan of them exactly, unciv is simple enough though the graphics is very simplistic, you either hate it or love it.also i think ck2 and 3 is more of a role playing game than a 4x game.
>>747627263YOu say this shti then shit on Civ 7 like the average polbrained contrarioid
>>7476292455 is great, 6 is ok, 7 is trash. It's literally this simple. This isn't an opinion, it's knowledge based in objective reality.
