I love this series, and Japanese games as a whole, so fucking much bros. The simple truth is that western game devs weren't able to EVER compare.

>>747634819Not saying Japan never made good stealth games (MGS, Tenchu and Shinobido were peak), but Japan straight up does not make stealth games anymore and only the west is making them now. Japan hasn’t made a non-Metal Gear stealth game since the 2000s, and even the later MGS games were influenced by Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed.

Dedicated stealth games like Hitman and Intravenous are an autistic niche for people who really like those mechanics.Still, it’s tragic that Japan stopped making stealth games considering that every stealth franchise that they DID make was kino. You’d think it’d be a more popular idea considering the fact that they’re the country that produced ninjutsu.
