>start it up on NSO to replay it after 20+ years>holy crap, the graphics are still amazing>the beginning is so boring>midgame picks up, pretty bland mechanically but pleasant to go through>suddenly there is no game left after CloudRunner Fortress despite you only having half of the main collectibles, just recycled areas with embarrassingly rushed filler quests>the last two main "dungeons" are just overworld areas with a couple puzzlesMan, the lack of a General Scales fight stuck out in my mind all this time but I had forgotten that genuinely 40% of the game is just missing.
>>747636115that's like most of the gamecube, a good chunk of games were rushed out because they had fuck allalso the cover art having pepe and slippy actually be on world is funny.
>>747636417Sunshine isn't this bad, it looks lacking in content compared to 64 and the blue coins are obvious filler but I'd say the world still comes off as cohesive and fulfilling, it works that it's more focused on a single biome. I don't come out of playing it thinking there's obviously something missing.Wind Waker yeah, kinda. A third of the initial quest is rugpulled from under you and the Triforce hunt has some shameless padding even though I think the idea of forcing you to actually explore some of the small unremarkable islands in the main quest isn't bad. Can't think of other blatant first party examples, SFA is still way worse.
>>747636115You forgot to add. The game ends suddently with no satichfaction, leaving you there wondering where the 50% of the second end part is after you save Crystal in the end.
It was a Rare game mid buyout, of course it was rushed
>>747636739It's just that discussion about it being rushed settled around the missing Scales fight and little else. I was surprised to rediscover how much worse it actually is.
