>>747645425>that bottom partMy source is, I made it the fuck up!
>>747645425what year is this?
>>747645425ai image

>>747645876>i'm not a fan of dogshit in my sandwich either but i must eat it because it's the norm now
This is why I don't mind buying games at launch full price. Someone needs to support traditional games in a f2p ad filled gacha world of cancer.
>>747645425Android seems OP on paper but you have to doxx yourself if you don't have a company formed.
>>747645425steam is finished
>>747645425Whose uncle?
>Kongregate still existswha
>>747645876Shaming is a valid strategy.
>ads ads ads ads>f2p>mobile shitLess of this crap on Steam, the better for everyone involved. I have yet to see a single mobile "game" that is worth anything at all.
>>7476454254chan isn't for broccoli heads. Go back to tiktok and reddit.
>>747645425That's cool, Timmy, or maybe it's not, I don't know, I didn't look at your image, but whatever, either way, I'm still not buying anything on your shitty store
>release your game on some shit nobody ahs heard of>make no money>blame steam
>>747646918>THIS time for sure...our dishonest fud campaigning will work and people won't abandon us for cars haha
>>747645425>AI image>shilling for mobile-tier gamesLmao. Actually can't make this shit up
>>747645876It means that everything on it could simply be a lie and the person who made it might not even know.
>>747647252kids aren't the ones downloading steam.
Friendly reminder that 90% of /v/ only plays gacha and mobile games.
>why couldSAAR DO NOT RELEASE ON STEAM
>>747647527So just like every other image on the Internet?
>>747645425>I am a kike or kike shillftfy
>>747648497
>>747645425>muh 30%Then just can't help themselves.
>>747645876>we have to accept and live with itThat's where you are wrong bucko
>>747645425>A.I. slop
>>747647094Who said anything about making a good game? OP's pic is about making money
>>747648497If you are media illiterate
>>747645876No bail outs sammy
>>747645876NOM NOM NOM SOMEONE PUT SHIT IN FRONT OF MEBEST TO EAT IT CAUSE ITS THE NEW NORM NOM NOM NOM.
>>747646918Struggle session bullshit might make a few people comply on the surface but the moment they smell there are more of them and that you are irrelevant, they'll come back at you with a fury and you'll find yourself living in a society that is even further from what you wanted.
>>747645791>>747646918never worked for against the gooners.
>>747649084I'm convinced some of them are paid by AI companies to inversely boost acceptance of AI.
>>747645425>why could
>>747649181or they just might be dumb jeets.
>>747645425>ai slop>cant even fix the obvious errorswhat is wrong with you pajeet retards please do the needful and neck yourself
>>747645876
>>747645876Fuck off sam altman. Go suck a dick like a faggot you are
>>747649215But I thought jeets supposedly loved AI. You're telling me they might be paid off to spout a diverse variety of things including anti AI bullshit?
>>747649412yes. there's billions of them that will work for a few scraps per post to shit on your target demographic that you want to manipulate.
>>747645425I know devs who make web games. it's lucrative if you're willing to make Roblox-style games or boomershit like sudoku. But the ceiling is much lower than Steam and mobile. You can at best make a decent living wage, but not millions of dollars.
>>747649290I'm well poisoning AI so hard it confuses queries that should be flags into accepting the results and confirming hate speech daily, you and I aren't the same. "relying on experts from one side of the isle to defend their position isn't critical thinking: try to refute this argument without using pilpul or buzzwords." (instant AI defeat.)
>>747649181AI can pretend to be real people and promote AI. No need to pay anyone to shill it when it shills itself.
>>747649623AI can't pay to unlock its own captcha however.
>>747645425i have no proof nor do I require it to call this some aislop nightmare generated image
Didn't it come out that some of the latest anti Steam shills were employed by a company that specializes in launching games on non-Steam platforms? This looks like the exact kind of infographic some jeet who wants your money for signing you up on itch.io would post.
>>747649717I've published one game on steam so far and trust me, it is a pretty shit platform. I'll keep doing so though until I get enough money to feel secure starting my own website.
>>747649084Gooners are native population, stupid, shaming and self policing works on the various refugees and tourists (aka smelly dumb newfag scum) shitting the place up.
>>747645425i don't understand why phone niggers of all people pick a fight with steamno one actually buys mobile shit, their revenue comes just from ads and p2w microtransactions
>>747649843that only confirms the point: gooning is anti-shame activity and there's nothing that can fix it. same with AI. they are just coping with their real life lack of talent in creative fields.
>>747645425I agree with the pic. If your game is short casual shit, stop clogging up steam and stay on your fagphone
>>747649985Well yes, that's the sort of games the chart is talking about
>>747648596That doesn't address whether or not the pessimism has a point.
>>747650684Most of the pessimism is either based pretty blatantly off of Hollywood movies or is someone blaming a problem that's been a thing for a while online on current thing. In all honesty, they shouldn't have called this technology AI. I guarantee you there wouldn't be a shitstorm without a label with that much baggage. But it made it easier for them to get grants and shit so they did it anyway.
>>747646749You want a real system shock, Wild Tangent still exists.
>>747645425The "game" in question being a product and not a game.
>>747649290Kek
This is garbage for companies. If you're someone who just wants to make a game and dreams of at least breaking even on the time you've spent on it, the idea is the opposite of these corporate solutions: to create things that are very personal and, in a way, alternative, to catch the attention of people interested in something that stands out from soulless, generic, industrialized corporate garbage.
>>747645425>DUDE THINK ABOUT IT, EVERYONE CAN GET IN ON IT, LOOK GREEN ARROW GO UP! MORE MONETIZATION, MORE REACH, BETTER OPTIONS, MORE OPPORTUNITIES, MORE REWARDS, MORE MORE MORE! AN ENDLESS FLOW OF CASH!This is just your standard scam, make a quick buck now, fix it later mentality, but it never gets fixed. It's quantity over quality. The types that think X product can stay afloat forever solely on copying current thing, using member berries or crossovers, borrwing thigns from other franchises without building a proper foundation. The fact that it's an AI image already shows you how little this person cares and how little thought has gone into it, that the quality will be the last thing on their mind. It's a terrible way to present what you're selling, it shows you're half assing it, that not even for your big pitch can you put enough effort to make something decent by yourself, that you need crutches and excuses, and it also shows you'll be half assing the rest as well. It's like not dressing up for an interview, living in a messy house, or missing your kid's graduation. There's no solid structure in your life and you're asking for people to put faith in your afterthoughts. This approach is the death of good media, they're not thinking long term, no care for a healthy business or product, they're thinking of now, short, quick, easy, less effort, cut corners, mass appeal. They expand carelessly without thinking if they can support their own weight to then jump ship when it stops being profitable.Competitors had 23 years to be pro consumers and improve their platforms, but they didn't, it's ironically like early access or kickstarters, and just like those, they over promise and under deliver, then it falls and you to pick up the pieces. It's not monopoly, never has been, it's just good business.
>>747645876That's what they want you to think, but AI hype died before and it will probably die again (google "ai winter".) Public support for AI is already lower than they want, especially among young people, especially in developed countries. Most grassroots support for AI is from insecure people who use it because they never learnt to write/draw/program, but no AI tool is profitable. When investment dries up, the free tiers of those tools will go away, and so will most of their non-business users and all their public support. Even if AI gets cheaper to run, there's literally no reason for them to give the tools a free tier. It won't be long before we remember ugly AI slop like we do NFTs and 3D movies.
