I'm not sure I understand the point of the instruments. The heavy kick and the breakdance whirlybird make sense because you can charge them during finishers, so you can pre-empt a shield break if a heavy is around you, or you can pre-empt a sweep of fodder. These work in slightly specific areas where you don't just want to be doing things to the beat. But none of the instruments feel useful. The drumstick rush is okay as a pseudo gap closer before you unlock the toss into rushdown. But what are the others doing aside from wasting time? I like the game but it doesn't seem to offer style points for ingenuity like Devil May Cry. There is no reason to shock enemies with the guitar, groundpound with the bass, counter with the gauntlet, or do whatever the fuck the microphone is supposed to do (aside from getting you hit when you try to use it). I feel like I'm better off just punching to the beat rather than trying to incorporate the instruments.
>he misses the beat>complains that his specials don't do anything off beatLand a perfect show stopper or bass and let me know what happens. They instantly kill everything around you because on beat hit deal like double damage.
>>747646219The only good one is the drumsticksRest of them are pretty garbage and you never need to use themEven the special moves like the breakdance spin is just awkward to integrate into a combo when punching them is just as effective and doesnt risk fucking up your combo
