Are cool, but so is this video game
>>
The only way I would even consider buying OoT is if they include a significant amount of new content, otherwise there is no reason

Kirby, Metroid, DK, and Fire Emblem have me convinced its time to get a Switch 2 thoughbeit
>>
>>747647282
Is this also gonna be so easy that you won't see a game over screen unless you're actively trying to like forgotten land
>>
>>747647282
>Are cool, but so is this video game
Why did you word this sentence fragment so strangely?
>>
>>747647763
ravenous and the new kirby look cool but the new fire emblem looks like shit. they're trying to be persona way too much now with the even greater emphasis on social systems and jrpg dungeon battles(that apparently suck and journos were auoting them) plus the cast is ugly.
>>
>>747647910
Im gonna be honest I've never played Fire Emblem in my life but it seems like the fan base hates every release from the past decade or so to varying degrees, but I want to give the series a try regardless
>>
>>747648064
the new one is basically a sequel to three houses so play three houses first. that way you can see if it blows or not as well once the dust settles.
>>
>>747648064
Engage is the one true fire emblem fans enjoy, only problem is the overbearing member berries.
>>
>>747647282
BotW's success claims another series...
>>
>>747648396
How can they make smash bros open world with sandbox elements?
>>
>>747648064
Ignore the autists. Fire Emblem is a franchise with no bad games.
>>
Yeah, looks great. The movement added to all of the abilities reassures me that they know what they are doing with the transition to a more open type of platformer. Hope we get so wacky, abstract level design
>>
>>747647763
I never replayed OoT and barely remember anything. It’s going to be great
>>
Crazy how the Switch 2 seems the only option to enjoy video games nowadays. I just want to play fun and comfy games and not some political walking sims or tech demos
>>
How did Kirby do traversal movement based on power up abilities before Mario?
>>
>>747650362
How are braindead easy games fun
>>
I grew up playing Kirby's Dream Land 2 and have only in the past few days finally watched gameplay of Forgotten Land played by my son, who has himself inherited the pink passion after we played Star Allies together. It's nice to finally see 3D Kirby games coming out, and I'm assuming this will be his "BOTW" moment, so what are your hope and wishes? I just want an extra mode where I can play as Meta Knight
>>
>>747650451
It didn’t, dummy. 2D has been doing it since Mario 3, 3D started with 3D Land
>>
>>747650706
You mean the Tannooki? I meant moreso like horizontal/fast movement.
>>
>>747650528
That traversal by itself is fun and that the open world isn't that open and allows for them to fill their nooks and crannies with secrets like usual
And that the postgame is as difficult as ever
And that the music is on par with Forgotten Land
>>
>>747650458
I play chess if I fancy a challenge. No video games are hard after playing them for 3 decades desu
>>
>>747647282

what can we do to increase the appeal of the kirby series?
>>
Do you think they'll us fly around on Kirby's Warp Star?
>>
>>747651095
More Cute Hats for Kirby.
>>
>>747650773
Cat suit’s dive does that

only HAL could make a female character with such a degenerate design and get away with it
>>
>>747651095
nothing
keep the "mature games for mature gamers" very much away from it
the real niggas know
>>
>>747651775
Imagine if they made Kirby: Act Zero though, it would be so fucking funny
>>
>>747647282
Kirby is the middiest of the mids games, not good, not bad, just mid
>>
>>747652192
This is the middiest of midwit takes
>>
>>747647282
>open world slop kirby
No kirby is ruined forever
>>
>>747652073
Let's watch Kirby's parents FUCKING DIE.
>>
>>747652493
Star Allies nearly ruined Kirby by being the nadir of the franchise’s completely stagnant formula. Going 3D has saved the franchise
>>
>>747647763
Same boat, just gotta find a decent used Switch 2, because fuck paying $500 for it.
>>
>>747650528
This is an optimistic thread so I don't want to be too much of a /v/ doomer but I don't see how an open world interacts positively with the Kirby formula. Permanent upgrades a la Zelda are limited unless there's as fundamental mechanical overhaul, it's not really a dungeon-y or puzzle-y type of series... so I guess my hope is that they figure out how to do "Kirby with open-ended exploration" better than just plopping him into the BotW overworld with some movement mechanics.

that'd be an even more unwise decision than buying the switch oled in the first place! it's an old console no way it's worth what i paid for it anymore.
>>
I preordered both Metroid Ravenous and OoT but I really only got in on OoT because I was able to get it for cheaper.

Switch 2 is a blessed console for Kirbychads.

the super forms of the abilities could be the upgrades that then open up new areas and interactions in the open world. I do agree that it’s a bit of an odd fit, considering abilities are temporary and located around the places they’re needed, which limits your tool belt at any one time, but that also makes it easy to allow freeform exploration. But as you said, they're not puzzle or dungeon games, so nothing is lost. Traversal was the only real issue, and that’s been fixed. And exploration will be improved at the expense of some platforming density. It should be a perfectly fine fit

There are plenty Fire Emblem fans who like most if not all the Fire Emblem games.
But there is still some perhaps, 20% of the fanbase, who only really like one or two games and then hate all the others. And because the others of this variety only like one or two games, but not necessarily the same one or two games as the others, they'll end up bitching and fighting and crying all over the place all the time.
And all of them hate the fans who like all of the games. Because they find that unacceptable for some reason.

They should bring back the copy essences from Milky Way Wishes.
