Shadow of the colossus released on exponentially stronger hardware and already looked great without concessions. Any modifications will undermine something that was already visually solid.

Oot's presentation, charming as it is, was far more conditioned by very primitive hardware, so a remake becomes a lot more interesting in order to see certain things in a less abstract way and offering a chance for improving immersion. Also the original is still very much avaliable, opposite to OG shadow of the colossus.

I never got to play Shadow of The Colossus, as it completely flew under my radar back in the day when I was busty with school. I've heard some pretty good things about it, and I feel like I missed out on a great game :(
