Never played 2 but me and my siblings used to play the first one on the ps2 all the time. Recently started playing 3 on a modded Xbox and it includes this map in the game. Didn't fix the arrow in that one either. Me and my sister learned after just two attempted the arrow is not very useful. But to get the highest scores you need to commit the maps to memory anyways. So it doesn't really matter. I could play the first game without the arrow.

It's the verticality in this one, I imagine the map is different in 3 as they added all those back areas. Knowing you can get to the gap up town from dropping off on the 6 lane bridge from an opening from above takes some time to learn. It's definitely harder than the first which is one of those perfect games.

I've started to appreciate the jump at least when at first I thought it was weird to integrate an advanced technique into a button press.
