we’re so back, Etriam bros
>>
Good name change. Won't play the demo albeit. Release date when?
>>
>>747661382
>auto battler
what's the appeal?
>>
>>747662868
>what's the appeal?
you wouldn't get it, it was made for me, the guy watching his party in ff12 execute their gambit logic to my specifications
>>
>>747663023
ff12, poe2 and now this
Gambitchads are feasting
>>
>>747663023
I'd like to know the appeal. We don't get many first person dungeon crawlers these days that actually get big, I'm wondering what people want to see from the genre
>>
>>747662868
you do visual programming
>>
>>747663191
>Dungeon Algometh
Interesting ideas in the mechanics of the game.
>>
>>747663084
>poe2
had no idea it had a gambit system, bout to buy it right now
>>
>>747663084
>>747663486
Path of Exile 2 doesn't have a gambit system
>>
>>747663734
Pillars of Eternity II
>>
>>747663734
I'm referring to Pillars of Eternity
>>
>>747661382
Finally something, been waiting for this
>>
>>747663084
You forgot Unicorn Overlord twin
>>
so instead of 'programing' by option lists, this is full on gui code, might be neat
>>
imagine if siralim actually had a good gui
>>
How well do games like this prepare you for actual Vidya development?
Like would any autism I gain from it transfer over to that if I actually wanted to start learning?
>>
>>747666250
>prepare you for actual Vidya development
nothign will you just need to start
or do @grok vidya game make it extra good no mistakes
>>
>>747661382
But these games wouldn't require much thought at all. How much strategy really goes into a fight? Like the gambit system in FF12 completely falls apart once you unlock the ability to do what the fuck you actually want, and have enough slots to account for more than two different encounters.

What could you possibly need in this game?
HP<50% -> heal
HP>50% -> use attack
PartyHP=0 -> use revive
Negativestatus=1 -> use cure

It's a jrpg, positioning and timing and shit don't matter. You just fucking attack.
>>
>>747668776
Maybe play the fucking game instead of going by the logic of another game?

? The examples use the ingame systems for Dungeon Automata. I'm pointing out that you really don't need much to function at all.
