He also was mainly there to coach Hbox and IRL stream, but at least Hbox has the will to keep entering and playing where as Cody and Zain are taking a break from the game. Also Hungrybox has 40 major wins which is the most out of anybody in the game's history and also the oldest player to win a major at age 33

>>747678659I'm glad I played melee so I can adopt the knockback system, but it needs serious changes. Attacking someone who can't fight back isn't fun at all. All it takes to win is getting the first stock by being cheap on the ledge which I hate that I have to do. It's really sickening what California has done to Melee and it's no wonder it isn't popular in Japan or Europe.

Dash dancing isn't fun, ledge stalling isn't fun, wave dashing isn't fun. Spamming isn't fun. The reason I play this game is because it's fun doing what I do, but playing my opponents who don't play for fun is kind of annoying in all honesty. Charging up powerful attacks, seeing your opponent go flying, switching things up and noticing the subtle KB increase. These are miracles to modern gaming and severely under rated and under utilized. Playing this so often and then saying this in these threads really helps it all come into perspective when designing a game that "fixes" degenerate unfun behavior. Having people who know nothing but exploits try to get good at my game is going to be a sight to see.

He was able to make up for it with his highly optimized playstyle back then but now you have adderall demons like cody consistently zero to deathing your ass across the stage off a single stray hit. Still love to watch his marth gameplay but he gets shit on in neutral constantly.
