The Valve Frame is an unmitigated disaster as it debuts to the worst reviews for a valve hardware product in the companies history
I don't care about VR at all
>>747672628(((reviews)))
>>747672628If Apple couldn't make VR work then Valve had no chance. VR is dead, stop trying to dig up it's corpse.
>>747672836The Rothschilds did this.
>>747672628The future is in holograms so fatty needs to get on that if he wants to stay relevant.
>>7476726281 hour battery life is abysmal, but apparently all wireless headsets have similarly abysmal battery lives so singling out Valve for this feels unwarranted.
All this because of the harebrained insistence on going wireless and, consequently, also standalone. This thing could've had the same if not better specs at half the price if it was wired. I'm waiting for you wireless niggers to apologize.
literally NO FUCKING GAMES>half-life Alyx includedoh great a 6 year old game everyone already played on the Index that was also $1k. Just fuck you Gabe, fix your fucking cheater ridden games instead of getting rich off skins you fat jew faggot
>>747673020Tim Sweeney does it again
>>747674852With something like the Quest 3, you buy a third-party head strap with hot swappable batteries. Pic related is the one I use. That thing with the glowing circle is the battery. You can just pull it off and put another one on, it's held on with magnets. I'm sure the Frame will get something similar.
>>747672628Does anyone actually want VR? By anyone I mean enough people to turn a profit.
>>747675093ThisHonestly, I am now wishing to lose the lottery because I am coping for the chance of them just releasing a pure wireless headset. I genuinely only care about the god tier wireless functionalities, I am not going to run any fucking standalone games other than string mahjong
Why the fuck don't they start making these headsets lightweight and connected to a puck with all the hardware? That solves almost every big complaint about VR. You can put a swappable larger battery and cooling in it, you can use a more powerful system on a chip, and you can just upgrade the puck later on and keep your headset.
why does it look like that instead of a cool helmet with aerodynamic fins?
>>747675548>I useyou don't though
There are still people who give a shit about VR?
>>747675702The way I've seen it explained is that the requirements for wireless are the same as standalone, which is why it's both.I know you're too fat to justify wireless, you simply don't move enough for it to be necessary. Abandon your foolish delusions of wirelessness being a good thing, and join me. Together we can create a more enlightened world, perhaps even one with a better Steam Frame: a Steam Frame that's wired, without these frivolous and costly extras. A true successor to the Index. Think about it...
>>747672628>I mean it's either this or (double this)Kind of a retarded review, isn't it?
>>747672628Ah yes, The Verge. My go-to for hardware and PC information.
>>747672628Is the review paid by Timmy himself?Funny thing is that the potential buyers of this don't give a shit about reviews like this kek
>>747678638>Timmy did it>you can’t trust any reviewers, they’re out to get Valve>the Rothschilds are just trying to get their revengeMeds!
>>747678879Literally nobody cares about your paid anti-review mate.Literally nobody
STOPATTACKING LEFRAME
>>747679219>VR gaming has become much smaller and less excitingLiteral secondary retard. VR has never been more exciting thanks the vivecoding. There are literally full blown VR mods being made every day to play almost any AAA game you can think of, this came out a few days agohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc1Xf_tS2q8This retard thinks VR is the slop you find at the quest store
This isn't much of a VR sale, but I think I'll get these.
>>747679625>It's so popular the tiny community has to cobble together large volumes of hard to install mods to keep it aliveSure anon.
>>747681762No one said anything about popular, it said less exciting, and by "smaller" he means less developers making slop, who cares.>hard to install modsFiltered, retard. Enjoy missing out on the biggest leap of gaming since 2d from 3d.
Is it an upgrade from the Quest2? That's what I use now. Will it feel like a major upgrade?
>>747672628I bought a used meta quest 3 with a bigger headstrap and 80MWH battery attachment for $400. Gaben is out of his mind. And the sad thing is valve cultists will pay for it while shitting on the $599 shitch 2.
>>747682171Considering your shit is comically outdated, yes
>>747679761I'd pay $3 for that slop
>>747682271>I BOUGHT A WORSE, CUM-SOAKED THING FOR CHEAPER AND THAT'S WHY VALVE BADlmao
>>747672996Nobody is going to pay 2 grand for ski goggles with a TV in them. The tech just isn't there yet for VR. Its still too bulky.
>alyx runs at 36 fps reprojected to 72 fpsONE SINGLE 7 year old game and it runs at 32 fpsFLOOOP
>>747672628Valve has never made a single good product during their entire existence. All they do is buy mods (Counter-Strike 1.6) and games made by other studios that seem popular before release (Left 4 Dead). The only thing they made themselves that was only mediocre was Half-Life.
