Why am I so shit at platformers?
Its really hard to explain but even though I've beaten games like Castlevania III (both NES and Famicom version) I feel like I never get "good" at this genre like other genres, if that makes sense.

Like yesterday I turned on CV III and was getting my ass kicked all over again, which rarely happens to me in other genres.
The part that beats me up most is seeing how people say Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon was "really easy" but idk on veteran it kicked my ass a few times.

I struggle with some other 2D platformers too, like it feels like I have to re-learn everything.

If it's the movement, then you have no sense of space. I'm always afraid of drivers who say they can't move in platformers.
If it's the combat, then get gud.
