The game is competitively broken and encourages sacking until the final stretch, meta gaming item block RNG and outright glitch abuse to win. Unless you want to play it like some casual party game there is nothing good about it.

When people say a Mario game is bad, they usually mean it's a 7/10, there's only a handful of Mario games that go lower and they're usually weird outliers.

>>747676221I think the price tag made it taboo to enjoy this game. Alsk MK8 deluxe set an absurd standard for the number of tracks.
It's pretty fun, but the open world is half baked and it could never directly compete with 8DX in terms of content. It's like how the new Smash probably won't live up to Ultimate.
It's just "good" though. MK8 is still better AND has way more content AND doesn't have retarded straight-line intermission tracks.
>>747680302Honestly, I feel like it ultimately comes down what you want. 8dx is good if you want as much mario kart as you can, world is good if you want a new take on mario kart even if it doesn’t stick the landing in all places. Like free roam could definitely be better but it’s pretty fun looking for missions and medallions in my opinion, that and knockout tour has me hooked more than any mario kart prior. I also didn’t really like how little new stuff ultimate had to offer so for me, there’s nowhere smash 6 can go but up

I saw your thread and decided to sit down and play some and yeah, it got boring after 20 minutes. There's also just nothing else to do in the game. Battle mode is a joke, time trial is meh because there's no 200cc, and uh... no, that's it. Give me more shit to do than just race. There are better racing games for that.
