A lot of fans think other games in the series had better alechemy/gameplay. But they probably won't top Ryza in character design. Unless they hire another hentai artist.

Other games in series do have better supporting cast, story, and gameplay, but they absolutely killed it with Ryza's design.
I think they've been doing well with other new designs too, but Ryza is just too strong.
