Some fucker from the 1200s just MADE UP a sword that allegedly belonged to Herakles, said it was better than Excalibur, had Arthur covet in and kill its previous owner to take it for himself, all just to give Excalibur to Gawain. Given that the entire mythology of King Arthur was just a hundred different random guys just making shit up across half a millennium until it was completely usurped by the French, I don't actually have any real issue with a Japanese guy turning King Arthur into a girl and giving her a laser sword.
