I've been playing classic since 2019, cleared naxxramas over 200 times on different charactersTo keep it simple, Forever is pretty greatThe gameplay is 80%-90% the same as classic, gameplay-wise it's basically classic with some of the corners smoothed out It seems overall easier to kill mobs and there is less downtime than classic. You still have to drink as a caster, you still can't pull 3 mobs as most classes without popping cooldowns.The main retail stuff is largely UI features and very minor quality of life stuff that you might not even notice if you haven't spent a lot of time in EraThe new lighting effects are kino, Elwynn Forest and Stormwind look incredible with the darker nights People calling it Retail or Retail minus are just straight up wrong, there are a lot of arguments being made in bad faith right now which is pretty lame in my opinionI think this is going to be immensely popular as it's basically retained the spirit of classic while still being very approachable, it's the best entry point WoW has really ever had when you think about itI also think there will be a lot of people that will have a hard time going back to Era after spending a lot of time in Forever

I'm not going to lie blizzard almost got me again. I quit WoW at the end of TBC classic after spending years of my life trapped in the never ending goycattle maze, and in general I have been doing better since quitting but if I'm being honest bros lately my life has been really shitty. And when real life feels real awful the idea of escaping into Azeroth comes creeping back into my head. It also doesn't help that FRESH is the best and only worthwhile time to play these types of servers, which of course makes the FOMO that much stronger. After spending some time vicariously living through the anons here, reading some posts on the wow subreddit, and watching a few videos on youtube I can confidently say that this game is going to be a humongous piece of shit. I'm sure the first few months will still be fun because fresh servers are always somewhat fun when everyone is a low level running around questing, world pvping, and farming prebis with friends but in the long run i think people will come to their senses and realize how soulless and shitty the game is and the playerbase completely die off. Unfortunately it will probably still make a ton of money because blizzard has perfected the art of scamming and raping its playerbase to the point that they will even vehemently defend blizzards right to rape them. To all the bros thinking about playing I hope you stay strong and resist the urge to let blizzard scam and rape you, and to the bros who are being scammed and raped, I hope the game is fun and I hope you enjoy yourself and make some friends along the way.

You can have fun in the beta for a week or so, but it ultimately doesn't matter what you do. We still have six weeks till the full release, but once the game FULLY releases then it'll feel more fun.
