>>747979667Yeah. It's actually a really cool archetype. It has battle phase "tag" mechanics similar to Gladiator Beast only actually functional in post-2020 Yugioh. It splashes easily without being so generic that it's everywhere. It doesn't really combo off on its own and it's really easy to learn but has a ton of play routes and a ton of counter play against it available for the opponent. Unironically one of the best designed archetypes in Yugioh ever bogged down by its theme turns off even most waifufag players.

It's already a pretty old deck by modern game standards and has only received one very small wave of support two years ago, but it's a pretty fun and relatively simple deck to learn. It's unfortunately one of those super popular archetypes that gets constantly ignored by Konami because they can't be arsed to capitalize on a deck's popularity if it doesn't have Sky Striker or Albaz in their text.

It's just that Yugioh itself is a very cheap game to follow between reprints making availability good and the game giving you little reason to collect on a lack of chases and few formats.A lot of people have the misconception that Yugioh is an expensive game because they take deck list prices at face value but you can build top tiers way cheaper than in any other game by making small adjustments or already having a collection. Even at the extreme where a 300$ playset of some super staple exists in a format, you can wait a few months for it to go down, replace it for the time with a penny common, or find deals locally because most people are willing to go below market price due to their understanding that they have to sell fast or they won't be able to sell at all.

>>747978823Reprints aside, it's simply because the value of most YGO cards is almost entirely decided by how PLAYABLE the card is, not how collectible it is.If a new staple handtrap is printed, it'll hit a high price, then get reprinted simply because they know people want to play with it and will buy an otherwise terrible set to do so.If it's unplayable meme shit like let's say, those huge going second singleton bosses with no support like that golden robot dragon or the uh, that 4000 atk alien looking reptile, it's going to crater regardless of rarity.YGO is a market majorly decided by active participants and sellers always want to dump their shit asap because of reprints, so there's less hoarding.Of course you do have collector rarities, classic cards, and foil autists, but they're a smaller market than in games like Pokemon, where they're almost the ENTIRE market (though the raw product amount opened in Pokemon means the actual players get the lower rarities for dirt cheap).Also a tip for YGO, even if you don't know when shit is getting reprinted, if support for your deck comes out in a core booster and it's cheap because the main cards haven't been reprinted, get a playset. I was able to build my Labrynth deck for like $30 because of that thanks to buying 3 Big Welcome beforehand for like $5 (this was back before she got a reprint).
