It do be like that
>>748109610Get back to work you filthy goyim
>>748109610>adult can't enjoy children's toys anymoreCompletely natural phenomenon. Me, I'm an autistic manchild so I don't have this problem.

>>748109752This. One day we will destroy the NEET demons fellow chosen one.
>>748109610you don't belong here
>>748109871Do you believe in regression? I find myself becoming more like I used to be as a tween now that I've been out of uni, work, and social circles for over 5 years.
I've mostly just played Civilization V, OSRS, WoW (Classic), and Binding of Isaac for the past maybe 7 years.Sometimes I download games I've owned for years but never played, but don't get past that part.Worse yet, many days I just doomscroll and watch YouTube slop instead.
I just wanted to say I found a funny little bug in Twitter's auto mod system that I can trigger with an image that will show up at random in this thread. It works at virtually any scale including as a thumbnail and will instantly put you on the blacklist. Have a nice day, and drink cow piss.
>>748110162I wouldn't call it regression, just a return to normal. "Play" is the natural state of life.
>>748109610I don’t feel this and I’m 35. Perhaps the problem is you downloaded 50 fucking games you’ll never have the time to touch?
>>748109610Stop. Don't remind me
>>748109610i am a dad gamer, an unc if you will. i play heavily modded starfield for an hour late at night when the wife and kids are asleep
>>748109610Sometimes you have to force yourself to take that first step to remind yourself that you actually do like your hobby.
>>748109610Get more sleep
Sometimes you have to ask yourself why you’re doing what you do. If you feel like you’re attracted to the idea of playing vidya and having fun but are unable to enjoy it, then you perhaps should stop hitting your head against the wall and do something else.To be honest, if you have a good palate of hobbies or interests, you should never even encounter this kind of>WHY CAN’T I ENJOY THIS DESPITE TRYING AGAIN AND AGAINsituation, as you can just organically do what seems interesting at the moment. Maybe it’s something else than games now, maybe it’s games a month later. Who knows.
>get home around 1400>open Rimworld>play for a bit>check clock >0130
>>748109752goyim is plural
>>748113214Exactly. But then the problem is trying to get in to a new hobby or "chasing your dreams" only for everything to feel like more work than it's worth and to not stick.
>>748109610more like>want to play a game>see friends in VC>hop in, start talking>gf appears in the doorway of the room>gives me an upset look>comes back in 15 minutes and starts yelling at me and crying because she was expecting to have 'quality time' tonight>"i guess you like them more than you like me.">have to keep muting my mic to keep my friends from hearing her yelling at me>refuses to stop coming back and yelling and interrupting me until i quit and go hang out with her99% sure this is the reason most dad gamers end up disappearing and losing all their friends
>>748113214And yet you're here spending time on 4chan on a sunday instead of enjoying your myriad of hobbies
>>748113956Who says I’m not enjoying my time here? The point is not that you need to have an impossibly wide or (socially) impressive array of activities to rotate between, just enough that you never feel desperate to enjoy something.
>>748113887Damn y'all aint even married and she's already a controlling bitch. Best of luck to you. Be sure to paternity test any kids you may have with her.
>>748110596I think I've been pretending to be functioning and normal my whole life and I can't do it any longer.
>>748109610>Have 50+ games installedChoice paralysis is a thing anon. You really don't need more than 5 or so singleplayer games installed at a time. And then you can uninstall after beating them. If you have a ton of multiplayer shit you play once a year you can just leave it uninstalled until you want to play it again. Also, play games that better match you interests. It doesn't matter what the metacritic score or /v/ opinion is because if you hate an entire genre of games, you will still hate playing the popular ones.
>>748109610that's because you are playing videogames not because you want to but because for you it is either that or jerking off.get another hobby or do some excercise or whatever so you are not chronically bored
>>748113887I genuinely don't know why would someone willingly have a girlfriend in 2026zoomettes are whores so getting a FWB is not that complicated

>>748109610For me its svencoop, league of legends and age of empire 2 DEHow cooked I am?
>>748109610for me its>have 50+ games installed>open the same 3 every night>play the fuck out of them for hours and hours, neglecting sleep because sleeping would mean losing time to play vidya, and playing vidya during the day gets in the way of obligations i don't have to worry about at night>close the game when i realize i should have gone to bed 3 hours ago>go to bed
I have 300 games on steam and have played maybe 35 of them. not enough time with a full time job even though i work from home
>>748116007This, but I already know and have accepted the secrets of the universe, and I never forget to go grocery shopping
>>748116007I hope I get reincarnated into a worm next time
>>748116007Painfully accurate except I worry about a 100 more things at all times and never forget to do grocery shopping as I plan every meal a week in advance
>>748109610I’m almost 38 and primarily play casual, arcade and occasional indie games as well as old games from from 6th through 4th gen. I only play games I can jump straight into without tutorials 20 minutes of story and other bullshit. I don’t have patience for that crap anymore.

>>748109610I have moments like this but it's basically low grade depression. If you sit down with the idea that you're going to play a new game until it actually turns you off in some way, you'll pretty quickly find one that actually hits the spot.
i'm playing through crash bandicoot series right nowjust got crystal 15 on 2. never beat 2 when i was a kid so this is kino. looking forward to 3. i do miss the overworld from 1, though. oh also im 35 yipeeee
>>748109610>have 50+ games installed>Open the same 3 every nightThis is true>Stare at the menu screen>Close the gameThis isn't though.
>>748116007I dont get this mentality.I already went to work, i paid my bills, i did my chores. Whats wrong with enjoying a hobby in my free time?People try to be productive 24/7 like they're machines and then wonder why the are burnt out and depressed by 35.
