I was thinking of getting either a 3DS or a Vita. Which one is the better choice ?I want something that comfortably fits in my pocket, so the Nintendo Switch isn't a choice for me.

A lot of good Vita games are already available through other avenues like ports and the state of emulation is decent enough that you can test out the library on a PC without much trouble. 3DS has too many games with hardware-specific gimmicks so if you want to emulate them you're usually going to get a pretty watered down experience, even for games that don't use the second screen that much.

Vita is a bit chunky for the pocket, but a great machineConsider chinkhelds. You can get a 30$ game boy clone that plays up to PSX/N64. I love mine and don’t have to worry about losing or scrapping it, it’s fucking 30$
