Blitzball isn’t that bad once you know where you can get good players on your team, but sure, it certainly was an interesting decision to make a minigame where your starter team is full of jobbers who can’t get jack shit done and even the first real match is designed to punch your face in.As much as /v/ likes to post avout filtering, I’m sure that people wouldn’t hate the minigame so much if it had a less schizo difficulty curve where you’d start with matches against other jobber teams and then get to gradually build your team up instead of getting you dick instantly punched in unless you have beforehand knowledge about the game.

FFX's biggest problem is that there's absolutely no middle ground between the baby-tier easy mode campaign, and the ultra-sweaty grindathon postgame content. I want some combat with more meat than the rock-paper-scissors snoreathon you get for most of the game without having to level up for 200 hours and bench most of the party forever since they aren't optimal. Makes it one of the least replayable games in the series.
