The first Blue Reflection has a new translation in Blue Reflection Quartet, that new translation is usually better than the original one, some weird changes in what the characters say in the subtitles are jarring and may be an example of excessive liberties, one instance is when Mao says ''But this is the end.'' in the original translation and in the new translation she says ''That's the one and only time I'm doing that.'' and that makes me say ''what...?'' It's definitely a weird change and the new dialogue is very different, it feels like the original line ''but this is the end'' is much more accurate and genuinely what she said.Anyway, I say all this because some scenes related to Shihori have new translations too. The original translations are on the left, the new ones are on the right...I can't be the only person who thinks that the new translation not using the word ''bra'' is a little weird, also, it's true that the new translation may be wordy at times. As I said, the new translation is usually better but I'd say that this is an example where the original translation is kind of better even putting aside that only the original dialogue uses the word ''bra'', it's true the original text uses a lot of ellipsis or ''...'' but often the use of ellipsis or sentences that end with ''...'' makes sense in Blue Reflection and it's well known that in literary language the use of ellipsis can mean surprise, shock, embarrasment etc, ''...'' can be used to say or emphasize a lot of things and even if it's a lot, it makes sense...I definitely think that the new translation suffers due to less ellipsis in the text, at least to an extent.Okay bye...I don't know if I'll post more in this thread after this, I mostly wanted to put that text in the spotlight (which confirms that Shihori is canonically bustier than Hinako).

Well, I'm back with another and probably last comparison...again, the original translation is on the left and the new translation is on the right. When Hinako raises her voice to Rin (which makes sense, I don't blame her) the dialgue varies between the original translation and the new one. Unlike that Shihori scene, the dialogue in that scene is voiced...I don't know which one is more accurate.
