The evil boss wanted Simon to testimony in the favor of the company, everything in the game happened set in a dream while he's in coma after the heart transplant. In the moment Simon wakes up, barely able to talk, the boss comes to his hospital room to chat and threaten that the comapany paid for his heart transplant and it can pay to have it back. He fiddles with a scalpel by the side of Simon's bed. In the bad ending, Simon is a giant pussy. He doesn't shoot his boss with a flare gun in the otherworld, in the real world his boss stabs him and he's ded. In the slightly better ending, he shoots the boss. Instead of being stabbed IRL, he stabbed his boss. In the TRUE ending he doesn't shoot his boss, but he leaves it to "them"/silent hill/the ghosts to decide, so the giant tentacle monster in the sky descends and grabs his boss. It's unclear what happened IRL, his boss probably just fucked off or vanished from the planet earth.No matter what choice Simon picked, wheter he chose to lie to everyone about the accident, or if he died, or if he killed his boss, there was no way to fix what happened anyway. The town is still fucked, everyone in the rig died. However "the silver lining" is that in the true there's a 5 seconds scene of his ex saying she will be there for him, she was the one who did the heart transplant surgery. The endings are a giant fuck you, despite of F being a Twilight fanfic at least it tried to be more rewarding.

This is exactly a game where they wrote some story then were like "well, we need a game to go with it" so they just shat out the most basic crouching-in-a-corner simulator ever made. I know what the real answer is (Konami demanded accents that Americans can understand) but it makes the setting completely pointless in the first place and kind of offensive. It'd be like making a game set in Texas and every character is a New York Italian for no fuckin' reasonAnyway I got up to the part where I'm getting chased around a tiny house by some geriatric looking for (I guess) a key.
