It's more that people are pushing the envelope or trolling the thread more often this year. The only guardian thing that didn't stand strong was the flower man one, and it's still thanks to the guardians that it got brought up and hashed out and now we're not bound by the let it go precedent for that song. Any time I've pushed back on a song (and it's usually me this year but there's at least 2 or 3 other anons sometimes) it was a blatant example of going against what the musical does.
I think some of you fags take it too seriously. The point of guardian posts is not to force people to do anything, it's to make things clear and keep the musical honest. When there's something in the precedent that people can argue is worth dropping like with flower man then I'm happy to see it work out. But it's important to point out when something goes against what we're here for or give someone the devil's advocate to fight against so that bad decisions aren't pushed through just because nobody said otherwise.
It's also one of the only ways to self regulate on overindulgence
I started guardian posts over AI stuff but even for something like Meta songs, just by reminding people "Meta is cringe and not creative and not even actually on topic here", we drastically reduced the number of cringe meta songs being submitted to the main albums in the first place. I actually like shitposty meta songs, but I like them in DLC where there's less incentive and spotlight for jerking off the other anons, and where it doesn't make /v/tm less focused on /v/.

being able to sustain your breath while singing is a skill to develop. you can edit out the breathing, I sometimes do it for like rap where I do a big breath every 4-8 lines whenever I get a good chance.

Sung a song I could handle, messed with editing because I know we need more editors and I figure I might be able to pitch in with Audacity 4.0, perhaps help handle some of the hard to fuck up tracks later. I learned some about the shit like reverb, compression, a little dip in the instrumental EQ, trying to adjust my timing a bit on the spots my takes weren't perfect on, ect. If anyone that knows better about wtf to do has feedback on what I might not have went hard enough on, or too hard, or other tools to mess with, I'm all ears on trying to adjust the project based on that and learn a bit more.
