I doubt Suda gives a remote fuck about SotD considering his history with it. My headcanon for why Grasshopper wrangled SotD off of EA is
1) To shit out the cheapest cashgrab port with banal launcher options I haven't seen since the ubisoft-pc ports of RE4
2) Suda 51 hates EA so much that he'll waste money to make sure they don't own something with his name attached.
