This. I thought I could handle it but after 2 hours playing on the atrocious retail client with jank "classic" models that don't look right and anti-soul gas, I uninstalled the game got a refund.

Forever is in a nasty middle ground right now where its far more like classic than the naysayers care to admit, but it has several 'retailbrain' decisions and additions that are made even more jarring by their introduction.

There are several new systems brought in that are pretty cool (Camps and Mage Scrolls), some that could have serious long term consequences (profession overhaul leading to character power creep) and some that just don't really matter despite how often they're discussed (the lighting and water effects).

There are hints of exciting possibility (Mage scrolls leading to the discovery of a spell power BOP 2hander) and then there are...well...the Skiggers.

The Skiggers have the same problem as Forever in general. They ALMOST fit in lorewise. They've got good foundations. Shendralar escapees into the Skywall. Mutated much like how the Dark Irons were by exposure to Fire Elementals. Cults to the mysterious and strange 'Al'akir' of whom they've never seen or met but they know is just lurking out there in the endless skies. But they're just too...clean. Too pixar, like retail. So theres this reflexive hatred of them which is perfectly valid and easily fixable, but they won't. So the skiggers will stick out like a sore thumb.

From a classic point of view it makes no sense for the Alliance to have Shaman Dwarves because the Wildhammer at that point in time were independent. They only officially joined the Alliance during Cataclysm.

There was never anything stopping a Dwarf from becoming a shaman except for gameplay limitations because Wildhammers have
a) always had shamanistic practices
b) always been allied with the Bronzebeards
Which means that
c) A Wildhammer could come to Dun Morogh to teach young Bronzebeards about the elements very fucking easily

Dwarf Shamans are frankly one of the least lore breaking things they could add and you pedantic cunts bitching about are retarded.
