>>748410569>>748410635even in 2006 godhand was too much. they changed "jihad" to crusade for the name of the last stage, the porno pickup that refills tension is fully nude with stars over the nips instead of a swimsuit, and they removed one of the two japanese ranguage jokes by changing "rords pub" to "beating a dead horse pub" (they didn't catch "barely regal casino" being a joke on barely legal though)but then the non-jp versions let you remove heads in a very awkward and bloodless way, probably just so capcom could justify giving the game an M rating instead of the T-equivilent it has in japan in order to help mask any backlash over kids playing it. and the boxart couldn't actually do the "punch through his fucking head" visual from the promotional material but also don't go with the stylized art of the titular godhand so instead you get this weird shit of him punching next to a guy on the actual western box, so they really didn't wanna commit too hard to the goreTLDR: it's a game that only avoided controversy by being so obscure that nobody actually cared
