Is there any deeper explanation/writeup for the legacy system? I'm looking into making a main for prog and hopping in a guild, then making another few characters to play with friends (as they figure out what they like to play, trying to fill the gap for tank/healer if needed), but I'm not sure on if the way it works is entirely based on capping characters, or if getting a bunch of different characters to 30 or whatever will also provide benefit.

I can't decide between priest, druid, or shaman for a healer. Priest has more variety in healing and presumably at least one of the two specs will end up being good, druid's healing kit looks the most interesting with a variety of heals and mana management, and shaman has the least interesting looking healing kit (riptide + chain heal spam) but enhancement is the most appealing dps off spec.
Why would I pay to beta test, it's not even like anything other than names get carried over to release.
