Strong season 1 characters will get thrown to the wasteside.The best example is Zenless Zone Zero. Miyabi was clear and by far the strongest character on release, so to make players actually pull for new characters the devs created content that is Miyabi-proof then sell you the character that clears with ease.The worst cases of powercreep come from Fire Emblem Heroes with every year releasing new characters that legit do hundreds of damage, take zero damage, and now strike from any where on the map versus year 1 where the premium skills were +4 attack and speed.

Zenless Zone Zero has actual gameplay. Action combat with exploration of zones, tons of mini games, and game modes. Its the only gacha genuinely worth playing.
