Reading ROTK in high school damaged my ability to enjoy these games for a while. The book is a great illustration of the Chinese view of morality in that they excuse terrible behavior if the character has proper Confucian views, I still don't like Shu because the three brothers are three flavors of prick that deserved what they got, Zhuge Liang too. In fact, almost every major character's death is down to them being a prick who got what was coming to them.
