Don't have a PS5 but bought one for my PC. Bravo John Sony.

What the fuck does that even mean
>>
>>748845032
No it isn't

I stand by the opinion that the PS5's Triggers are the best upgrade since Controller Rumble. Games being to switch sensitivity on the fly for different weapons is not only cool and immersive, it just feels so much better for certain movesets. That alone makes the Astrobot Playroom Demo a instant classic.
>>
>>748845415
I love the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers but wish the battery had a higher capacity.
>>
>>748845470
Yeah that sucks, that's why computer use on PS5 games where you can stay wired in is the best use case. All Batteries should be stronger in general
>>
I love that up close the grip texture is tiny PlayStation symbols. It’s my favourite controller to use of all time, it’s not even close.
>>
>>748845552
Obviously the PS3 controller was a lot less feature heavy but I remember that having a battery life of 30 hours on a single charge. Hopefully Dualsense 2 has at least 12 hours.
>>
>>748845032
im a gimmickfag and i love everything about it and the way some games just implement random ass things with it
>>
>>748845607
Does it collect dirt? Cool detail
>>
>>748845821
I enjoy when the light color changes based on the game. RDR2 is red.
>>
>>748845032
Fantastic controller if not for the stick drift.
keep those receipts and go ahead and note down your serial number. i just had to send one back after 10 months
>>
>>748845993
Yeah this is my only complaint. Controllers averaging 2 years of heavy use each.
>>
>>748845415
Though I do have criticisms, even though this is my favorite controller:
>Battery is weak of course
>Stick Drift
Basically you have a year's worth of constant use out of any given controller. I've lost 3 controllers and that's frankly unacceptable for a very expensive controller.
>Touch Button
Absolutely useless, even if you do use it, you have to admit that it doesn't do anything different than what a start button or context menu could do. It's probably adding to the controller price too. Either get rid of it or make it an LCD screen that can be like a DS Screen.
>>
>>748845993
went to a console repair shop and they charged me 20£ for a TMR stick upgrade.
Best investment i made.
>>
>>748845919
No, but it collects dust. In the edge of triggers or other places, it can be a pain in the ass to clean. Cheeto dust would be fucking horrible, but that's any controller.
>>
>>748846323
My 360 controller used to do this. Had to clean it with a toothpick.
>>
>>748845032
I would have bought one if it weren't for the stick drift.
Stupid planned obsolescence shit.
>>
>>748846258
>Touch Button
Once i discovered that i can setup a weapon wheel on it with steam input, i never looked back
>>
>>748845032
No, Xbox still have the best controllers.

>Absolutely useless
it wouldn't be if developers would use it for something.
Last of Us 2 has a guitar minigame and it's really cool using it for that. You really can pick individual strings with it
>>
>>748846478
Stick drift is the same for all modern controllers in my experience. The Switch 2 seems paticularly affected.
>>
>>748846582
Xbox One Controller is a good 2nd option for wired computer use. It's cheaper, and a bit sturdier for drops. Less heavy and bigger if you like that.
>>
>>748845993
I wanted to add to this:
when I sent mine back, 4 hours after they received it, they just shipped me a new one back.
so you might be able to just send it back working fine before the warranty period is up and they'll send a new one without checking. couldnt hurt to try
>>
>>748845032
>DS4 loses most of its disadvantages on PC
>Same for Dualsense aside from needing to jump through some more hoops
>Same for PSVR2 if you can ignore the persistence issue, it is a decent entry level PCVR headset that even works on Linux
It's baffling that these are all ass on the Playstation, but they're practically definitive on PC
>>748845415
Motion controls are still more impactful and so are split controllers.
I hope that eventually development on these continues properly and stops being just a VR thing. It is past time for the 360 to still be the lowest common denominator since Xbox is dead even compared to VR.

cant go back to non 8k polling controllers. next gen setups are all using 8k.
>>
>>748845032
I like the feel of it too, but I hate that it dies after like 6 hours.
>>
>get 3rd party controller for 25 bucks
>no stick drift, great feedback on buttons, analogs feel incredibly smooth
>essentially shits on dualshocks/xbox/tendies controllers for a fraction of the price
we've come a long way from fucking madcatz tier controllers.
>>
>>748847179
>Motion controls are still more impactful and so are split controllers.
More innovative? Yes. More impactful? No. It's already been proven and solved that traditional handheld controllers are just the best haptic feedback. When militaries and even stupid squishable billionaires put their controls on a controller - you know that shit is easy to learn.
>>
>>748845962
i played animal well and the colors represented the item in use and you could swipe the touchpad to interact with the world and it blew my mind
>>
>>748846258
>LCD screen that can be like a DS Screen.
i will support this even tho only 0.1% of pc games would allow this
>>
>>748847439
Find me a third party controller with hall effects for 25 shekels, I'll wait
>>
>>748845032
I haven't tried dual sense because every dual shock in the past was simply awful.
If snoy didn't try to save 50¢ on hall effect sticks I would consider it.

Find me a real controller
>>
>>748847208
awhhhhh yeahhhhhh
>>
>>748848415
There are a lot of them.
But those often have other issues.
I bought Gamesaar Nova Lite for 15€ and it has HE sticks.

I have this one :)
>>
Sony controllers have very shitty build (drifting, buttons that get stuck, triggers that break...) But they are the best at ergonomics.
I dont know how anyone can use those terrible Xbox controllers, they become painful to hold after one hour
>>
>>748845415
When Xbox did those rumble motors in Xbone I was hoping it was more like this. The dualsense mechanism can wear down over time or if a game pushes it too hard though.
>>
>>748845032
It's fine until it breaks.
>>
>>748849013
Jealous. The anniversary console was announced right after I spent my savings fixing my car.
>>
>>748849013
I'm still pissed that the Edge version of that was not sold on any vendor except PSN direct, and thus was botted to hell and back.
>>
>>748848415
I bought tegenaria lite for $16. If I was an amerishart I could've gotten it for $10 at Walmart some time ago.
>>
>>748849246
Do they the only console I have taht still has its box controller is my ps4, thing was used heavy for years and works fine, went through at least one controller/joycons for my sega/n64/ps2/360/switch, my ps5 controller aint died yet but thats only had like a year or 2 of heavy use.
>>
>>748845032
Needs a better dpad, Series X controller has the best dpad out of the big 3
>>
>>748845032
It will break so fast
Also no more ports so no further support
Mine barely lasted 1y
>>
Dualsense is the best controller for me. Just hope they add hall effect sticks and a larger battery in the Dualsense 2. Then it will be perfect.

XBOX controller has asymmetrical sticks so thats a no from me. The Switch 2 Joycons have stick drift issues and are too small for my hands.
>>
>>748853898
It's trash even my buttons don't work all the time
>>
only niggers and inbreds like the dualsoy
>>
>>748845032
Once I tried one I was really surprised at how nice it felt to hold. Perfect weight, in my opinion. No other controller has accomplished that. Everything else I found to be pretty mid, but it's certainly not bad.
>>
>>748845415
I love the haptics personally, that being said using it too much can wear down your hands. Just don't put the haptics meme on heavy.
>>
>>748845032
I like using a dualsense with my chinkheld when it's docked because the touchpad can navigate the Android menu.
Otherwise it's kind of a meh controller. Not great or terrible.
>>
i was between these two.
i got the all black
>>
>>748855442
Shame the left one isn't fully magenta.
