i've watched like 6 videos and it kind of just seems like another middling campaign that uses way too much narrative resources and runtime attempting to establish new characters that don't work/nobody wanted.The visual presentation looks really solid and does a service to the original trilogy but lingers too heavily on shooting galleries without any iconic set pieces.Honestly came away from the beta pretty content with writing the game off, the gameplay just didn't feel like Gears with it's changes to movement, but even beyond that the shooting and everything else just felt.. mobile? It's like they wanted to add "weight" to the characters but just made them feel less responsive ultimately which with how precise you could be in the earlier games I can only see that as a downgrade.

Lots of good movement options, low cover, leaping, shit like that. I've been playing Campeign though. Act 1's really good. Act 2 is mostly open world city shit like siege horde is with story beats and optional shit. Haven't beat act 2 but I'm nearly 6 hours in. 5 Acts.
