Curator for games under ~Ā£4/$5/€4 on a good sale.

Some more picks:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/6510/Lost_Planet_Extreme_Condition/
>Third person shooter with on-foot and mech combat, lots of massive bosses, a campy story and tons of bugs to shoot. A fun time, quite underrated.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1078420/Critters_for_Sale/
>A collection of 5 adventure/visual novel stories. Surreal, with great music and unique style.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2840480/FLATHEAD/
>Short horror game in the same vein as Buckshot Roulette or that "21" RE7 DLC, where you play higher/lower. I like the visual design and concept. Replays unlock more story stuff, but it's the same game.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/394970/DEADBOLT/
>2D stealth/action shooter from the creators of Risk Of Rain. Very good. A little on the shorter side, but high quality and highly replayable.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1785150/Friends_vs_Friends/
>Stylised PvP FPS with a card system controlling many unique effects. Bring friends though, as it's not very active. No 5+ player FFA for some reason.

I just bought Ace Combat 8 so I should buy anything this sale. But... I know I inevitably will.

Nioh 2 is the best game out of that selection. Coom-wise, there's boobie mods for your custom waifu character and for all the yokai ladies. Nioh 3 is more Nioh 2, but not quite as good. Wait on this one until you decide whether you like 2. Also, they're still working on the DLC for it.
Stellar Blade and Lies of P are both good, and iirc they both have difficulty options to accommodate shitters. SB has a lot of meandering around the open areas, farting around doing sidequests; some may find that aspect of the game tedious, but I treated it as more opportunities to ogle/wank to Eve and revel in the splendid OST. Lots of unlockable outfits to find throughout your playthrough, too.
Lies of P, I'm actually playing right now and have been enjoying it immensely. Definitely the most Souls-like of the bunch though, if that matters.

I got bored of Wuchang after a couple hours so I can't speak much to it.

It has a demo, go play it. I liked what I saw but never pay more than 20 dollars for a videogame, and that includes DLCs. So I'm waiting until it's like 60% off or something. I did like how the game not only allowed me to win in the unwinnable boss fight, but straight up (don't read this if you don't wanna be spoiled, retard) killed an important main story NPC that was driving the entire plot until then.
I did hear that they have some minor pozzed elements like a woman that makes you listen to her complain about how all men are pigs, but I am yet to investigate that for myself.

Turns out this thing wasn't supposed to be 80% off a month after hitting Steam. Or so the devs say. If you're looking for a weird shooter for 6 bucks that tries to do everything at once - now would be the time to fall for the marketing ploy, before they make it 20% off like they allegedly intended.

>>748863467
I actually am a Wipeout fag but I really wanted to get into a modern F-Zero clone because it's so different that it's practically another genre and I have fond memories of playing GX at McDonalds when I was a kid.
XF's handling model is just totally mismatched to the tracks though, it's like the dev has never played a racing game. He should have either rebuilt the tracks to actually use the handling correctly (especially the sideshifts) or just gone with analog thrust and airbraking with variable turn radius based on current speed instead of throttle, keeping the boost system as-is.
Like I get that he wanted to make "Offbrand F-Zero" and not "Well this is kinda like F-Zero but different" but he just did not make his tracks properly and all the non-racing content feels like a version 0.3a early access type of shit.
Game was simply not ready for 1.0, dev clearly dropped it.

The graphics and art style were perfect for a horror game. Earlier games were too goofy and later games look too clean and generic.

Project Wingman is pretty fun. No Man's Sky is shallow as shit but if you don't care it's alright. Breathedge 1 was okay-ish but I found it sort of tedious, 2 might be better.

Steam still has DRM that's baked in.
Steam doesn't allow you to transfer your account/games.

You don't own them. GOG does and if that fails because they are gone, you always have the offline installers forever.

All steam has to do is just keep steamworks for account and multiplayer integration and remove the restriction to play always offline forever.

I don't trust steam. They haven't given me any reason to trust them. I don't have to trust GOG since I own the installers forever.

Agree with wingman. The dlc is also pretty fun.

I played the demo. Gameplay felt similar to games like LIMBO or INSIDE except there is some simple parry-based combat.

>owning a game forever
You realize you're going to die some day right? You don't own anything forever.

People like are you are so disingenuous when it comes to 'owning' games. If you want to buy from GOG buy from them. No one's stopping you.
Steam may have stopped the selling of some games but it's not like you can't re-download the games that have been delisted. I have like 4 games in my library that's not listed anymore that I can still redownload.
Why does it matter to you if you can't transfer games/accounts when you prefer offline installers?

What about the thousands of games on steam with no DRM at all?

Talos 2 DLC consists of 3 parts:
>part 1 is laser interruption gimmicks
>part 2 is good, just more content like the base game
>part 3 is hard

I'd skip the DLC for now, the main game has enough puzzles, and workshop levels. You can get the DLC later.

old blood is best except for the first level with is trash

I'll just get RE8 and RE3R.

unravel is beautiful but the gameplay isn't that interesting
it overstays its welcome, should be 30% the length
I usually don't get EA games from steam when they require the EA app, it's the same price if you buy from EA directly

metal garden is a simple shooter, only get it if you're immediately sold by the world/atmosphere
it's extremely short

He falls into the same bucket as Maddox. People respected him when he could pretend to be a badass on the internet. But then he started showing his face and talking about politics in a non-satirical way, and he lost his edge. He's still trying to be that persona but it doesn't work anymore.

any racing wheel game recs
>>
Should I get Mechwarrior 5 Clans or Battletech? I already own MW5 Mercenaries it's fun but Clans might just be a worse version of it
>>
should I get fate/extella now or hold it off till I complete fate extra record routes

Sure, you can zip the contents of a steam-downloaded game and maintain the backup yourself.

The power of GOG is that the offline installers are official and cryptographically signed. So if you lose them, you can reacquire them from any untrusted source, and verify they haven't been tampered with.

Danganronpa series is super cheap, is it worth? Or is it just edgy nonsense for pre-teens?
I'd be playing in Japanese if that matters.

I always use paypal there. I've ended up buying like 70+ games from there and used them before the name change and the only issue I've ever had was them not being able to deliver one key for whatever reason so they just refunded it. One of the best grey market sites.
