I took one look at the assassination tree and noped out. SF backstab was the absolute most fun I ever had playing PvP in wow and these morons just copied what turtle did instead of making real improvements to what made assassination fun to play. They keep trying to sidestep using backstab as the main move to pander to retards who can't do it right, with stupid fucking moves like mutilate and trying to shoehorn poison as a build focus.

It was just so fucking satisfying getting caught out of stealth and still being able to run up to someone and crit gouge + crit backstab and I already have a 5sec kidney shot on them. It rewarded you so much for being skilled enough to consistently hit someone's back. And having 120 energy to top it off was just peak. People are fucking retarded, I earned about 10g in about 2 hours just farming mobs and mining as a prot paladin in Hillsbrad. If you can earn 5g per hour as any of the AOE classes before you even reach max level then I don't understand how people can still be so bad at earning money.

People cry about how "grindy" WoW is but in reality, it's only a deterrence towards using mats/pots unless you absolutely need too, but somehow, even the casuals in this games all have it in their head that they NEED to use mats/flasks for ALL content at ALL times because it saves them 10-20 min per run (unless they wipe lmao). At the same time, earning gold in WoW (Both classic and forever) is easier than ever thanks to Prot becoming essentially the best farming spec in forever (Retri aura can't miss and scales off of spell power, conc is still uncapped since it just deals less damage and not no damage above 4 targets, spell power is stronger and can now be found on plate gear, blocks are stronger, there is more access to defense, all spells now CRIT, there is more reflective gear, etc)
while in classic it has been a solved thing for more than a decade now.

If gold is so worthless that sellers have to sell it at bellow minimum wage then why the FUCK are people still paying for it? Is it really just because it's so god damned cheap? Because if thats true then Blizzard actually perma banning buyers will solve this issue immediately since who wants to chance getting gold at 2g per dollar but losing characters that you might have spent hundreds of hours on? The warning from blizzard to not take gold from strangers will also kill the retarded bullshit known as death rolling since the winner could have it all removed regardless.

What I don't like about retail is that it is no longer an MMO, nor is there really any difficulty to it. I typically check it out once per expansion and in a week I can usually complete the entire story, max out my ilvl, and wait for the next one without even having to talk or interact with anyone pretty much ever.

So far Forever has none of these issues and is very much how WoW was 20 years ago. Although there is an issue with Europeans and PvP players. Euros are all whiney faggots and a lot of people for some reason are on the PvP server but then get upset when you mention PvP happening and asking for assistance. Other than that though it's the most fun I've probably had in WoW since Vanilla, even more fun than when they released classic.

I mean the content inside Forever so far has been everything that was in Vanilla + additional quests that fill in obvious gaps they had back in the day. This content is more fun than retails content, yes. Retails story and questing is a very different experience. It's fine, but again, it's not an MMO at all it's a seasonal story continuation with a new locale every year.
