I don't care what you faggots think or say but this game is about 10x harder than any "souls-like" game. The AI is about 10x more competent than anything in Dark Souls or Elden Ring.

I wanted to make some cool anime gundam weeb build, and guess what? It got its ass kicked over and over and over and over again. Why? Because I suck ass at the game and the AI is too smart for me.

Just so you know this was one of the easiest Armored Core games.
>>
Too bad it's trash and not a real AC game.

Can't simmer the zimmer, ez game ez life
>>

Well then...clearly I suck ass at them.
>>

Nope. I beat the final bosses multiple times. The only difficult one is ALLMIND, and for that you can just use dual stun needle launchers. Promised Consort, Isshin, and Ozma (Khazan game) are harder than anything in AC6.

Your load out must be really crappy, or you're playing wrong.
>>
>>748871458
Replaying the game like 4 times to get 10% new content every time really puts it down a couple of notches. You should have had like 2 runs max, and all the extra content should have been in the second one. Especially cause of the new stuff is literally small conversations.
>>
>>748871856
Not really, only LR and VD are harder
>>
>>748872083
oh and AA
>>
>>748871458
Suppressive fire to bring down their stamina + heavy weapon while their stamina is down.
>>
>>748871458
All Fromsoft games can be braindead easy to hard as nail depends on the build
>>
>>748872051
I would have no problem with this if the game would just let me make a second save file like every other fucking game on the planet so I could restart fresh without losing progress on my main save.
>>
The first AC pilot you fight before you fight the crazy missile orb guy really pushed my shit in, but I beat crazy missile guy first try and didn’t struggle too bad with anything else. I remember the side mission where you choose to kill a guy or let him go being pretty tough too.
>>
>>748871458
For the "Concludes Chapter" bosses you pretty much have to make a build that builds crazy amounts of stagger then melee the shit out of them. I was stuck on Ibis for the longest time because I wanted to do it my way and the bosses are specifically designed to be counters to that playstyle.

So basically you have a build for beating up ACs and Cavalry then a build for bosses at the end of each chapter.
>>
>>748872120
do the later missions in AA get harder? I played it for a bit but I dropped it because it was getting boring quick.
>>
>>748872821
I beat most bosses by just stacking as many rapid fire guns as possible onto my AC and would just lay ass until they died. I did have fun using double zimzams and the pile bunker after I finished the game though.

Part of learning to play AC games is learning that you aren't really supposed to stick to one singular build for the entire game. The huge amount of customization is there for a reason, you change and tweak your build depending on what each mission requires. You can have mainstay parts and a general "build" of course, but a lot of the fun of it is trying out different loadouts to see what works best depending on what each mission throws at you, and it's literally built into the setting that ACs are highly modular and different tweaks can completely turn the tide in a fight
>>
>>748871458
I wish you could hear how hard I'm laughing at you right now man
>>
>>748872083
>LR
People keep saying this but I don't remember it being hard at all.
>>
>>748872821
I almost never bothered with melee even against the big bosses, like with Balteus on the first run through the game I always just use a shotgun or rifle, a grenade launcher, and shoulder missiles to keep up pressure, and I'm usually medium weight to help mitigate its missile spam. For Ibis I use a machine gun and a high damage precision weapon like one of the railguns, and usually plasma missiles, and I go for a super lightweight build that can quickly avoid its big fuckoff lasers
>>
>>748873026
You can play them as a puzzle game but that's only really fun for replaying for S ranks, otherwise they become so fucking easy. Trying to build an AC that can actually be used for anything is the more interesting challenge but AC6 is a game that just chucks out absolute hard counters more than ACV's team focused damage triangle did and just cops out by letting you change everything before the boss battle at the end of a mission, when the most interesting missions were always the ones where you needed to balance both the mission part and the boss fight part rather than just 100% cheesing either.

This has worked in pretty much any late AC game. As soon as they let you fire two hand weapons, and then compounded by firing back weapons as well. I sometimes kind of miss having to swap between weapons to shoot them.
>>748873026
Within reason. There's always been a light-medium high DPS type of build that you can brute force the entire game by dodging and shooting. Heavy builds can be unga bunga simple for combat but get tripped up by the inevitable platforming missions.

mechbart... forgive me...

Once you get over the sea spider hump it isnt so bad

Just like in Souls games, the difficulty varies a lot depending on your build.

>literally baby tier easy AC game
>bosses also got nerfed
retard

>songbirds get nerfed to the ground
>zimmermans just get a slap on the wrist
How did they get away with it?
>>
>>748871458
It just punishes you harder than ER for not preparing properly. ER biggest failing is it allowing you to unga bunga trough bosses and not caring about weaknesses, elements and weapon types.

why is an armored core game even being compared to dark souls now
>>
>>748873142

It depends on what console you have. The PSP version has smaller lock boxes and worse controls. At least there are some neat portable exclusive parts.
>>
>>748874202
It's the Dark Souls of non-Dark Souls Fromsoft titles
>>
>>748874202
Nu-Fromdrones.
For some perspective, there were people mad when ac6 came out because Quick Boost doesn't have I-frames.
I always thought I framing was retarded
>No, you see the roll isn't to get away from attacks, it's actually to phase you out of existence for a moment. This is completely integral to souls game design and we will never tell you anywhere that this is how it works. You're supposed to intuit this despite that being contrary to what a reasonable person would understand.

I've got some mixed feelings on this game as a soulsfag. It's by far the best combat fromsoft has ever made though I haven't played the other ACs, but I've had an easier time with it, using whatever build I thought would be well balanced, usually involving shotguns and reverse joints, and keeping that pulse submachine gun in my left hand alongside a melee weapon. I don't trust my capacity of making good builds, but I've managed to beat almost every boss, even mech malenia, in my first try. So I wouldn't say that this game is hard at all. Only boss that gave me trouble was the final boss. I also find the early missions to be a bit of a slog. The first few ones, until a little bit after operation wallclimber. Wallclimber itself was very tedious.
>>
>>748874154
No it doesn't. You can build a generic AC and get through every mission except ice worm.
>>
>>748874157
Does anyone here miss early reg vientos and truenos?
>>
>>748871458
I'm glad you like it. Try the other games if you get a chance.
>>
>>748874273
>there were people mad when ac6 came out because Quick Boost doesn't have I-frames.
Strawman. Nobody said this.
>>
>>748874556
The things that certain old fags were and still pissed off about are hard lock, instant turning and brainless stagger gameplay. These people are deluded enough to think that AC games are primarily hardcore PvP games.
>>
>>748874273
Dodges having iframes is more common than not. Otherwise you have to design attack patterns very very carefully so that you don't constantly still get hit anyway. In AC it doesn't matter because you aren't normally dodging melee attacks very often. Bullets are easier to dodge.

It's funny how we pretend its weird for OP to bring up Souls when your average ACfag was perma-seething about Souls since AC6 was announced, hell they're in this thread right now saying the same schizo shit
>>
>>748874350
how good were they before the patch. I heard truenos were comparable to songbirds but nowadays I just slap a hand grenade launcher as my punish weapon.
