Are Leisure Suit Larry games fun? There's like 10 of them with 4 remakes
>>748871549Funner with a few buds and brews.
I don't really know how you're supposed to play them without a guide.
I had the most fun with Magna Cum Laude
>>748871893Never played the other ones but mega cum loud was repetitive as fuck after a while. novelty party game nothing more
>>748871549I only ever played Larry 7 and it was a banger.
>>748871549Yes.
>>748871549Early ones are very generic point and click adventure games. Later ones basically are gag games where the game insults you for everything
>>748871549The first one is legit a great little adventure by the standards of the day and still holds up if you can get through the lego brick graphics and parser. The ones after it devolved slowly into "buy the hintbook asshole" type puzzles that follow no sane logic and kind of lost the plot until 6 and 7, which were course correction and good again. 7 was the last real Larry game. What comes after that pretty much all sucks, for different reasons. The Xbox 3D ones aren't proper adventure games to begin with and don't star Larry, instead the protag is his asshole nephew. The movie themed one is legendarily bad and was removed from Steam. The later ones made by Germans are point-and-clicks again and Larry is brought back, but they're weirdly humorless and depressing, like the writers are afraid of making fun of things. What little comedy is there is just grossout humor, there's none of the honest lewdness of the originals.TL;DR: 1 good, 6 and 7 pretty good, new ones bad
>>748871549Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail! must be among the greatest point-and-click graphic adventures ever made.
>>748872275Game is fucking hilarious. Pic related was a lot of fun as well. >option to flash your dick at NPCs More game should have this.
>>748871549They're fucking awful unless you are a literal actual boomer
>>748871549They were titillating in the pre-internet days
>>748871847That's just how point and click shit was back then. Some of them were just retardedly unfair.>need to get over a wall>have a ladder, trampoline, and a stick>use ladder>nothing happens>use trampoline>nothing happens>use stick>You have used the stick as a springboard to launch yourself over the wall
It's a crime how Neil Ross never returned as the narrator.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g6PcY0ER9M
Jew simulator
7 is goated
>>748873069I thought Elden Ring was the Jew simulator?
>>748871549Love for Sail is one of the few games I've given a perfect 10/10 to, it's an actual masterpiece.
>>748871549bumping for this answer. heard about em lots in the 2000s at college but never actually got the chance to play any of them.
Played 1 recently and it was nice. You do have to literally try everything though and go through leaps of logic to solve stuff. Do that before using a guide. Even as simple as something as "knocking" on doors surprised me because it didn't occur to me that you could do that.
>>748871893the mini games were mid but the world, dialog and voice work were top notch
>>748872275>>748873596Newcomers, however, can never experience it fully, with a Scratch-O-Sniff in hand...
>>748873596Based>>748874602I'm guessing the materials on those cards will biodegrade even if sealed, right? That's a damn shame if so, but I also don't think I'd be willing to spend $500 to get a sealed copy.
>>748874692>I'm guessing the materials on those cards will biodegrade even if sealed, right? This would be my guess also, yes. And it's kind of shame, because I doubt the card would be expensive to produce, as a joke. So someone could sell those as a novelty.
