I cannot say that the demo entirely "sucks" but it feels like a generic modern metroidvania with absolutely nothing going for it.Generic controls, generic healing system instead of the old CV system (as clumsy as it was), generic set of abilities available from a get-go, basic bitch zombies and skeletons taking 2-3 hits to kill when the entire point of fodder in old CV games was the fact you could one tap them (seriously every fucking zombie takes as many hits to kill as those golems in the beginning of Rondo), terrible hit feedback, slide that feels too slow and heavy. It feels like a worse, less fluid Lost Crown with no combo potential. You just build a meter, then you spam 1 spell.But by the gods it's fucking ugly aesthetically. Rose herself is hideous, her only saving grace is her japanese VA she shares with the likes of 2B. CV famously had a collection of absolutely incredible female designs but of course westerners will fuck it up.
