I'm gonna play the Fatal Frame 2 remake this Halloween. I actually have a craving to try out Illbleed for a first time, even though I heard mixed things bout that game.

My Go-to is usually System Shock 1/2 though.

A hodgepodge of mods with some maybe conflicting, I'm messing with it as I play.
(This keeps short hair on Alice and plays nice with the other hair mod, but it overrides the story mode so she's always wearing the London outfit unless you specifically select the chapter outfit in the main menu) https://www.nexusmods.com/alicemadnessreturns/mods/75?tab=description

(Remove socks) https://www.nexusmods.com/alicemadnessreturns/mods/74?tab=docs

(This might be redundant with the socks mod idk yet) https://ayakamods.com/mods/panties-mod.1296/

(makes hair look thicker so Alice looks less like a baldish doll) https://www.deviantart.com/theunkown000/art/Alice-Madness-Returns---New-Hair-635083019

This game was pretty decent. Not really a fan of time limits for an entire game though and it could be a little repetitive. But it had a good atmosphere and cool enemy/weapon design. I actually saved everyone except Melissa who is almost impossible to save most of the time and pic related was pretty grim.

VtMB, DMC1, and American McGee's Alice are some of the better gothic horror games IMO. Diablo 1 too if you don't mind the gameplay.

Here's American McGee's Alice if anyone wants to play it. It's the remastered version with VorpalFix already applied.
